Another fabulous experience at The Townhouse in Chester. Our afternoon tea was excellent , great choice of food , attentive staff and all within a beautifully festive atmosphere. So lovely to be welcomed by the open fire and a glass of fizz , the perfect way to start off the Christmas celebrations. Well done Townhouse we shall certainly all back !

Lilac Cottage is consistently very good. The menu selection is fantastic and the the service great. Always a great evening out. I would highly recommend.

The Lilac cottage has been great every time we have visited. Last night was especially good. Although they were very busy with several large parties the service was superb. The food was excellent and the waiting time minimal. They are very good at handling allergies. Great atmosphere and great value for money.

Booked a table after a hunt for somewhere between Nottingham and format to meet friends totally missed the fact that it was Scandinavian until we arrived but it was a lovely surprise food was so tasty nicely presented and very reasonable staff were lovely and cosy atmosphere a lovely lunch time

The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly on arrival and during the evening. Few issues we had No Beer on draft only bottled beer and limited choice of bitter and no Guinness. Tried to a cocktail with four different choices - No Cream available. The ladies toilets were disgusting the cubicle I went had a pair of knickers lying on the floor one toilet was up to the brim and blocked another blocked with a toilet roll and extremely dirty and very cold, as we left we mentioned it to the staff taking our payment but they didn’t seem very interested. We left very disappointed and with other places opening in the town centre your restaurant is going to lose customers if this is how your running the business.

Absolutely love this place. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food. Recommended and will be back again and again!

Yet another wonderful meal at the Salt Bar 7th December 2019. As the song says “everyone’s a winner” I introduced another of my friends to the Scandinavian cuisine, charm and exceptional service and she has expressed great interest in returning. If you haven’t been yet give it a go I am sure you won’t be disappointed.

Superb! Excellent food and service at a very reasonable price. Really enjoyed the evening.

We went for an afternoon tea for two and were extremely impressed with the food and the service. The member of staff who looked after us was lovely and really looked after us. The food was delicious, of a high standard and there was plenty of choice. We ended up taking some of the food home because we couldn’t manage to eat all the sandwiches, scones and cakes. Excellent value for money, attractive surroundings too. Having had afternoon teas in other local venues I would definitely recommend as one of the best, certainly the best value for money.

A gorgeous renovation. The pub feels very warm and inviting. Never had a bad experience there.

Our first time visiting Elmas. Food was amazing. Great service and friendly atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning.
