Romazzino Alsager – CongletonMum and I have just returned after having a delightful lunch at the bunbury. We had sandwiches, with an excellent glass of white wine, followed by a chocolate fudge cake with pouring cream!!. The atmosphere was homely with a lovely roaring fire. will certainly return, everything was just lovely.

Plough and Flail Inn The – KnutsfordThis is a fantastic pub with log fires, home cooked food served by friendly staff. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. This is the place to take friends who you want to impress. We are regulars in the sense we travel over 20 miles to get there and visit about five times a year.

Hollywood Pizza – WidnesWe had lunch at the Plough today, and the best steak we have had in years, it was great. Staff were incredible. Thank you.
The Plough at Eaton – CongletonFirst visit to the Mockingbird Taproom in Chester and had a great night. The menu has lots of interesting choices as well as the sort of Tex-Mex stuff (nachos, burgers) you might expect. I had a spicy gumbo from the main menu and my wife a prawn and chorizo jamabalaya from the specials board. Presentation is quirky and the venue is lively (with some great tunes from the DJ when we visited on Saturday evening). If there’s a group of you the central bench tables look a good bet but if you’re a 4 I would ask for one of the round tables as the oblong ones are a bit of a tight squeeze. Good selection of bottled craft beers and New World wines to complement the food.
