This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. The food is so fresh. We have moved to Wilmslow now but travel back to Congleton for this Thai.

Highly recommend a visit to Vatikka, food and service second to none No better India restaurant for miles and we've tried a lot! Excellent value for money with a warm and welcoming staff. Try it you wont be disappointed. Well worth a drive over and parking directy in font of the place at night.

Amazing food warm welcome an all round triumph.

My boyfriend and I went here for a quiet drink after spotting it whilst looking for somewhere to go following a meal elsewhere. We thought it looked like a lovely pub from outside. However, when we walked in, we instantly regretted it. It is obviously a locals pub, which I have no problem with- but the locals are SO unfriendly to 'outsiders'. We were being constantly glared at, everyone was looking at us like scum for daring to enter their pub. We did nothing wrong, we walked in, smart/casual dressed, inoffensive, and ordered two drinks. We sat down and felt forced to drink up and go as we were getting daggers from all angles, particulary one group who actually, NEVER took their eyes off us. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. Will never go here again. I would not recomend this to anyone who isnt already a regular as you will be treated with contempt! Also, looks nice from outside, but inside, it is like and old persons living room. Very old fashioned.

The best authentic Indian restaurant around. May come as quite a shock to those used to so-called Indian food as their curries are made with fresh, additive free, authentic ingredients and are a long way from what most people regard as Indian food. Certainly a place to enjoy the real taste of India in fabulous surroundings and with first rate service.

My husband and I had lunch at the Red Cow last Saturday lunchtime, I had home made shepherds pie and Veg it was delicious and my husband had haggis also very good. Am going to try a meal one evening. Great traditional pub, cosy and good food.

The Balti is consistantly great quality , taste and value. The staff are efficient and attentive and it's also child friendly. Take aways are always ready for collection at the time alloted and when you dine in the comfortable surroundings it is very ambient and relaxed

Great nite...great steak and great service!! Our server helped us choose wine and the food was easy.....steak all the way!!! I will definitley return next time I am in chester.

Re-opened just before Christmas 2012, no longer a pub, trying to be an expensive Restaurant with small potions of "quality food", served by staff in jeans and tee shirts at expensive prices!. Don't expect a friendly welcome by the manageress because you will not get one. Toilets are very clean and dogs are allowed in the back room - give it a miss and go elsewhere.

Fantastic food, fantastic staff, and lovely atmosphere always enjoy ourselves.

We have been eating at the Saffron for years now, all our friends and family love it. The food never disappoints and is always superb. The staff are very professional and friendly. The decor is not your usual indian, but modern, clean and inviting. Not to be missed!!!!!

Just had a fabulous night at Spirit 11/01/13 looking forward to having a great night with 21 of my friends on the 08/03/13 for my 60th birthday

The food was very late in coming to the table and was told that the garlicbread had burnt so was having to redo them. We had booked the table 2 weeks prior as it was a birthday celebration with 8 attending. Our waiter was not happy as he told us he had been working all day and was tired. Heonly brought us sixside plates instead of 8 our glasses were not the correct slute for prosecco. We spent £400 that evening in the restaurant but flet that our evening was spoilt by the lack of entusiasm from staff member.

The menu is exactly what a pub should serve! The pie and mash is amazing! Perhaps the best pies I have tasted! Nothing fussy, silly or pretentious! This is exactly what is needed in Knutsford! Good pub, good food and good beer!

Lovely pub in Cheshire countryside. I had an amazing venison cottage pie and my partner a good tuna steak. Recommend either for quiet meal or family weekend affair. Good wine selection as well.

Fantastic food and first class service, what more could you ask for.
