Can't believe that this restaurant only had one review - this is the best Indian I've had since moving to warrington 7 years ago. I go all the time, the decor may be a bit dated but the food and service is 2nd to none.

We were recommended this restaurant by one of our friends who lives close to the restaurant so we thought we would give it a try to see what all the fuss is about. The decor was different from your usual living room Indian restaurant with elegant flooring and marble tables. It also had traditional Indian clothing from the walls which gave it that contemporary but homely feeling. The food was perfect i had the chat starter and it was perfectly spiced with a long flavour. Where as my partner went for bhajees, For mainmeal i had to go for the vindaloo with boiled rice. the curry was v.hot but unlike many restaurants i could actually taste the flavours. My partner tried the chicken kudu, she said it was full of flavour and she had never tried such adish on the wirral. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends well done guys keep up the good work

Very pleasant atmosphere, super value for money. I had the fish and chips which were excellent and others in on my table all enjoyed their meals. Friendly efficient staff.

I love this restaurant - always really good service and the mussels and fritters is what i always get - the best mussels i have tasted in a restaurant - try them out! The selection of wine is super, my husband is very fussy with wine but there is always a bottle on the menu he enjoys! Double thumbs up for Tom's!

Visited on 16th July 2008 I had the gammon steak cooked beautifully, the presentation of the food was good and despite the pub being very busy the service was not effected. We will definitely return again very soon.

Had a meal in the passage to India on Saturday 27th July 2008 and it was the best Indian meal i have eaten in my life what even made the experience better was the bubbly manager shahin. I will be eating there again. Great location near the station.

A perfect, genuine, Italian restaurant. All food is superbly fresh and cooked to order by Piero. This is REAL Italian food as they eat it, rather than an ersatz freezer-to-microwave English approximation. Many ingredients are sourced from Italy, and the wine list is a refreshing change from the norm. In all, a lovely atmosphere in which to eat a lovely meal. Highly recommended.

Always had a warm welcome at The Carden Arms, the food is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and the locals make you feel welcome. Last time i was there i met Prince Charles who was participating in the local hunt, how cool is that??

The Romper has changed hands quite a few times in the last few years. Up until recently, it was a traditional pub which also had a very nice dining area with beams and a coaching house type of feel to it. The food and service at that time were of a very high standard and so it was that in late July 2008, we decided to have an evening out at the Romper again. We booked a table for 7pm and on arrival, we were surprised to note that it had changed hands again, this time becoming the Romper Mediterranean restaurant. Considering that it was a fine Saturday evening, the outside decked area was busy and yet the restaurant inside was almost empty! Nevertheless we took our table and ordered. Whilst waiting, I noted the internal refurbishments which, whilst adequate, i felt detracted from the traditional feel of the place and i much preferred it as it used to be. My starter of Lentil soup arrived and I had the distinct feeling that it might actually be tinned with some garnish added ! Onto the main course, lamb kebabs with rice and salad. No complaints about the lamb, well cooked and tasty. The salad, i think, was from a packet and was limp and not very fresh. The rice was dry and didn't seem to be freshly cooked. I also had a feeling that my glass of cider was somewhat lacking in strength! We paid our bill and left. We shall not return and sadly, i cannot recommend the Romper Mediterranean

Dined for lunch in the Brasserie. Lovely building and service was pleasant. The black pudding starter was nice enough, although a little crisp on one edge. The bouillabaisse main course was probably as bad as I could expect. Out of the 6 mussels 4 were closed, the bisque was greasy and bland and the rest looked liked off cuts of old fish, probably not fit for the stock. If the Arkle was open we would have dined there, but if the same staff are cooking there then we probably saved a penny or two. Still £85 for three drinks, 1 starter and no dessert seems a rip off for the quality. We will not return.

Friendly staff, inexpensive, lovely pastas, deserts bit of a let down after a lovely main meal, but didn't ruin the evening.

I would recommend "Da Piero" to anybody. The best "Bucatini all'amatriciana" ever! Including the (many!) I had in Italy. The quality of the food is superb! Piero imports everything directly from Italy, even the sea salt! This type of quality and attention to details is unprecedented in North West's Italian Restaurants.

I went as a surprise for my 50th birthday and I must say it was a night to remember the food was excellent as was the service but i must admit my dessert of Italian ice cream was my fave. Also i enjoyed the lady singing. All in all you made it a night to remember so Thank You
