The Hyatt – ChorleyThe food wasn't very good. The carbonara was something dolmio would be proud of because there was no egg yolk at all! Also the calamari was disgusting because it was under cooked and soggy. It even still had the skin on! I thought I would give you a second chance. I'm sorry:( Drink service poor, no salt or pepper and paté was lumpy. Only good thing was the steaks. Very cheesy 80's pop music! :-(
The Halfway House – ChorleyWent last Sunday, had the 3 course special for £14.95, a fabulous meal, superb service, highly recommended, will definitely go again!
Luciano’s At The Millstone – ChorleyMy husband and I visited Dante's for a Birthday lunch, after a recommendation. Firstly, the plus points.....the food was very good, beautifully cooked and presented, and portion sizes were spot on! But sadly, we were disappointed by a number of issues:- a) I was cold....b) the wall by our table was very grubby, splattered with tomato sauce and c) after removing our main course plates, there was no mention of desserts or coffee....we waited a good 20 minutes, and then decided to pay and leave. It was not at all busy, and by this stage we were the only people in the restaurant. Top marks for food, could do a lot better in other areas Sadly, I'm not sure if we'll go again....
The Halfway House – ChorleyFantastic food every time. Large portions and a good selection to suit every taste and budget. We're off there again tonight. Yum!
Original Farmers Arms – ChorleyI find it rather odd that there are reviews for Amelies prior to 2008 when it opened. That aside, the place, staff and food are wonderful. Excellent value also.
Amelies – ChorleyAll restaurants we visit are compared to Amelie's. None come even close. Amelie's is EXCELLENT - a quirky venue with very attentive staff and the most divine food which not only tastes superb but looks amazing. Very reasonably priced too. 11 out of 10.
Amelies – ChorleyWhen someone knows how to run a pub, make all guests welcome and offer them home styled grub which is just that bit tastier than you normally cook at home then you know you are on to a winner. Well Done and keep the good work up xxx probably shouldn't have written this review - might not get a table...
The Lock & Quay – ChorleySimply the Best11 years of consistently outstanding service and food. The food is simply cooked and presented perfectly and the set menu at just under £10 is value that is hard to beat.
Happy Village – ChorleyVisited for the first time last Friday and guarantee that this will not be the last time i eat there. I agree wholeheartedly with the other reviews, this is a hidden gem in the heart of Chorley The food was fantastic, reasonably priced for the high standard and was greatly enhanced by the service and atmosphere. The cocktail bar after the meal was very cosy and finished off a really great night. Highly recommended. Thanks to all at the restaurant.
The Cosmopolitan Restaurant and Cocktail Bar – Chorleywe went in November after the refurb. the food was delicious, i had the ribs and they fell off the bone, my grandchild wanted chicken nuggets but this is not a option on the childs menu. very enjoyable
Yarrow Bridge Inn – ChorleyOur first visit , & we loved it, the staff were all very friendly, lovely homely atmosphere, & the food was truly delicious, presented beautifully, we enjoyed every moment there, we will be visiting on a regular basis from now on, thanks so much!! from Julie & Garry Parkinson wigan
Amelies – ChorleyGreat food, great service !
Italian Cottage – ChorleyWe used to visit P & Ps a lot, but we really have been disappointed the last few times. The music is so loud that you cannot hear your guests and we had to ask them to turn it down in the past. We went Friday 25/11/2011 and someone else had to ask for it to be turned down. You go for a nice meal and relaxation, not a disco. Pizzas there are normally spot on but were quite soggy this time.
Parmesan And Pepper – ChorleyI have been to the Italian Cottage a number of time recently both alone and with friends and have never been disappointed. The delightful ambience, the service is excellent, attentive without being overpowering and ,of course, the food both Italian and English menus are all top of the range; can't fault it in any way.Even in today's difficult economic circumstances they are always busy; surely testament to its quality. It is advisable to book.Jonjo.
Italian Cottage – ChorleyWent to Truffles in October 2011. What a fantastic find. We had a superb meal and found everyone pleasant and attentive. The chef/patron James deserves to do well and if you haven't tried this restaurant yet - why not!!!!!
Truffles – ChorleyWe have been new season tapas and cocktail bar last week we had fantastic atmosphere the staff was so friendly and service was so good there was a guy from turkey he was so good at his job and work so hard he does an excellent job in there
Seasons – ChorleyWe just have to say that The Dressers Arms DEFINITELY has the BEST steak night deal in the Chorley area - we know as we have try them all on a regular basis !!!We always get a quality wine here and a very good steak or gammon. With a very good meal/wine, excellent service all in a very beautiful pub makes this a clear winner.Keep up the good work.
