Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFive of us arrived to a really warm welcome and shown to our table. The menu had a great choice for each course and we managed to have a good assortment between us. The food was very good and we were served by very helpful waiters. I had one of each course and was not disappointed at all. Everyone enjoyed their meals and will definitely will return in the near future. Thank you to you all for a great meal.
Adriano’s Italian Restaurant – CarlisleExcellent food and service as always when we visit Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe have been visiting for several years now and I have always enjoyed the roast beef Sunday lunch and never leave anything on my plate. However, when we visited on Sunday, I was very disappointed with the vegetables. The roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips were hard and the cabbage had a strange taste. I left most of the vegetables. Has there been a change of chef I wonder??
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe visited the Wheatsheaf with 2 friends on Friday 7 November, prior to a visit to the Heron Theatre in Beetham. The welcome was warm as usual and service excellent. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal - 3 of us went for pie of the day and 1 for the cobb salad (always a favourite). There was a very positive comment on the ale as well! Looking forward to returning soon.
