We had a lovely meal on our final night in the Lakes. The food was presented perfectly and full of flavour. The wine we chose was very good too. We had an excellent evening. Well done to the team at Lewis's.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent Stone Bass and Excellent Service. Friendly efficient staff, lovely table in the window…. Really nothing to find fault with! Came back today because we liked it so much !
Horse and Farrier – PenrithWe chose Grants for a pre theatre meal @ Penrith Players because it was recommended on our tickets and as we didn't really know the area we thought we might as well try it. We weren't disappointed! On the morning of our visit I emailed for parking information and Grants replied very quickly and suggested a car park nearby. When we arrived we were greeted by a very nice waitress and asked if we would like the pre theatre menu, our drinks selection arrived in a timely manner and we were given bread & oil dip whilst we made our meal choices. We chose Vodka & Beetroot Cured Salmon and Bourbon & Maple Southern Fried Chicken starters, both of which were excellent in flavour, presentation and portion size. For mains we chose Roast Chicken Breast with Madeira Sauce and Sea Bass with Lobster & Prawn Ravioli both of which again were excellent in every way. We decided to share a cheese board for desert and this came with crackers, butter, chutney, apple slices and three cheeses. The staff knew we were visiting the theatre and made sure that our food was served in plenty of time but in no way rushed. All in all a fantastic little restaurant that we would highly recommend. Looking at the standard (non theatre) menu we both agreed that we would come back for a meal very soon. (For information, our theatre performance started at 7:30pm and we booked our table for 6:00pm)
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithVery welcoming, and a great value pre-theatre menu (though we only had room for half a pud each after the first two courses). Friendly and efficient service, and plenty of time for coffee before the show. Will return!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe had a very enjoyable evening.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAbsolutely loved the fish pie which is very rarely seen on pub menus usually just the same old boring steak and burgers. Service was very good, staff coudnt do enough and always smiling, piping hot meal and generous portions , would definitely go back

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe came to La Mezzaluna for a group booking of 17 people for my daughters 18th. I'd like to thank all of the staff for accommodating us. The food was beautiful and came out piping hot altogether. The service was so friendly and attentive, despite it being an extremely busy night, nothing at all was a problem. Thanks again.

Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithWe made a last minute decision to call here on our way home from a busy day in the Lakes. Great choice! A warm welcome by Lucie, and excellent service throughout. Fabulous meal for 3, beautifully cooked and presented. A lovely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We also loved it was so dog friendly too Thanks so much, we look forward to our next visit!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely lunch at The Pheasant. Always great food and service. Good value.
Pheasant Inn – Keswick5 of us had an excellent meal, starters to die for. The one downside and this is not limited to the Pheasant but most eateries in my opinion are the chips, it would be nice to have proper chip shop style chips with flavour
