La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely food, great atmosphere and really friendly staff!!!!!!! The current Haven site close does not give the opportunity to have a decent meal and if I would have found you sooner I would have come every night. I'm gutted I didn't find you sooner as there were many things on the menu I wanted to try. Delicious.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsSuper country pub serving excellent food (the homemade pie was one of the best I've ever eaten). Friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithLovely food as always. Great staff.
Sage and Vine – CarlisleThe food was absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere I would recommend this place for anyone that loves Italian food, great service as well and catered well for my disabled mum I would give this place a 10 out of 10 Terry.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleDo not miss this gem in Grasmere. What a special restaurant! It had the feel of an intimate meal at a friend’s house. The food was incredible — especially the sticky toffee pudding we had for dessert :-) I had the homemade curry, and my husband had the shawarma tofu. Amazing flavors in both.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereReally good food, great service, The Pheasant is a jewel because the team are so great!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food, great service, and very good atmosphere
Horse and Farrier – PenrithA proper village pub, great food and a lovely atmosphere. We always enjoy coming.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe had a filling dinner during our stay in Keswick. We started with the baked camembert which was fantastic. My husband got the meat pie and I got the seafood pie. The portions are large and filling. It's nice that the entrees come with vegetable sides that were also plentiful. Unfortunately, we were top stuffed to try any desserts. The staff was friendly.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickConsistently excellent but never boring, always something new, be it ale or menu. Very very good.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithFirst visit, great service and excellent well flavoured pasta at a good price. Will return when next visiting Carlisle.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleSuperb -we have been coming here each year for last five years and it never disappoints. It’s what a pub should be.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and great vibe! Good balance of classic pub food and innovative menu - very good vegetarian selection. Nice to see the pub is still also. A pub - the front bar and outdoor tables were busy
Horse and Farrier – PenrithMy wife and son were visiting Penrith for a family gathering and needed somewhere to eat on Friday evening. I found Grants on TripAdvisor - it had great reviews and was convenient for where we stayed. The evening did not disappoint. The service was helpful and attentive but not overbearing. The food was fantastic with some wonderful flavours. I would definitely go again if I was in the area. Highly recommend.
