Sage and Vine – CarlisleNobody acknowledged us on arrival and when they eventually did we were made to feel uncomfortable as we had arrived early. (We had called earlier to confirm it was ok to arrive early and were told that was fine as long as we sat outside - it was a hot evening so this was fine with us) We then asked if it would be ok to just have a drink while we wait for our table and were told they were busy with drinks too so no. At this point we were feeling very unwelcome. The food was sub standard and one meal was removed from the bill but in short we would never go back to this place.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe meal at The Pheasant Keswick was the best meal out we’ve had in years. The serving ce was wonderful, friendly, best part of the meal. The food was excellent, I had two pints of real ale, Cumberland and a Theakstons OP. We ate early at 5:30pm and easily finished in our 2hour window. Deserts were great, the white chocolate cheesecake excellent, I need to go back to try the other dishes.

Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAmazing food with lovely service, one of the best dinner we’ve had in Keswick, including vegetarian options. Fresh produce, great flavours and friendly staff, good portion size, nothing to fault really. Thank you for a great meal!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickPleasantly surprised at the overall experience on a Saturday evening having booked earlier that day. Scallops nicely cooked. Delighted with the Chardonnay we drank. Fillet steak was quality and cooked as desired. Chicken supreme also good. Sticky toffee pudding to share and espresso martini both up to standard. Would book again.
