Loved this. Great place, atmosphere and the food was superb. The fillet steak stroganoff was not what I had expected but it was _so_ much better. Already on our list to must do next time we are anywhere in the area.

We had an excellent pre theatre meal at Grants. The food was delicious with a good choice on the pre theatre menu. The service was extremely good with the waiting staff ensuring we were happy but not constantly asking!! I have only given 4 for atmosphere as the restaurant was very quiet, presumably because it was early evening.

Lovely birthday meal. Excellent service. The cheese souffle was outstanding and in fact it is so substantial that next time I will have it with the bread and green salad instead of a main course (and then there will be room for dessert!). Kitchen able to accommodate slight ingredient variation on a main course with absolutely zero fuss which was appreciated. This pub does very very good food and so it's a bit pricier than other places but you're getting amazing quality dishes cooked from scratch which is worth paying for. Already planning return visit!

This was our 3rd visit and definitely won't be our last. The food is beautiful, staff are warm and friendly, atmosphere is lovely.

We love this place. We ate here first, a few years back and the experience was good enough for us to book our Wedding Day meal for 2 there (yes in our 60s we finally "eloped"). We were not disappointed. Great food. Great drinks. Great service. Amazing place. If I wasn't over 200 miles away, I'd be a regular there. Top notch! Thoroughly recommend it.

A lovely restaurant in Grasmere but limited table space. I had steak but was disappointed that it had a lot of fat which is unusual for filet. It appeared that the waitress had not informed the man at the till so no refund was offered. It is more expensive than most places but worth a visit if you visit Grasmere.

We visited this pub regularly a few years ago when staying nearby. It still has a welcoming and friendly vibe. The food is excellent too.

Very pleasant, helpful staff. Service was very good despite the Pheasant being very busy. Essential to book at this time of year! Good variety on the menu. We had the scampi and Cumberland Sausage respectively and both meals were beautifully presented and very tasty. Good value for money. Would recommend.

Amazing food, lovely and friendly staff, and a great atmosphere! The service was attentive without being overbearing, and everyone made us feel really welcome. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant. We’ll certainly be back!

Service was amazing the two gents were very welcoming and couldn't have provided better service. If you want the quintessential pub experience in the lakes this is it!

We have been visiting the Lakes for many years and The Pheasant has always been our go to place for good quality food at a fair price....that is until our last few visits....the staff are friendly and provide a good service but the quality of the food was really disappointing....at £20 for a main course there was very little meat ( most notably the pies and curry) so unfortunately we will neither be rushing back nor recommending.
