I found Grants on TripAdvisor - it had great reviews and was convenient for where we stayed. The evening did not disappoint. The service was helpful and attentive but not overbearing. The food was fantastic with some wonderful flavours. I would definitely go again if I was in the area. Highly recommend.

Sage and Vine – CarlisleBeautiful, old public house with traditional features maintained. Welcoming and friendly staff. Good service times. Tasty food: we ordered the beef pie and the vegetarian pie. The pint we ordered tasted like it was from the bottom of the barrel. It was exchanged without fuss - thank you.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe did have to wait a while but when the food came it was delicious and obviously freshly cooked. Visiting at lunchtime on a Friday obviously affected any atmosphere but Will definitely return ! I think I spotted a bouncy castle too ??

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereNice little bistro, good & friendly service and nice food. Whipped feta was beautiful, ideal small starter. Steak was lovely, meal was filling. Curry could have done with a bit more of a kick. Was the meal we enjoyed the most of our 3 nights in Grasmere.

We ordered food to share between 4 of us, the charcuterie board with olives were delightful, as was the pizza, albindigas, halloumi fries and the parmesan and truffle oil skin on fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed all the food and we enjoyed the cocktail on the specials board. Truly delicious! This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely be back.
