First time we have eaten at La Mezzaluna but we will definitely be back. Good range of Italian dishes and all reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive and service was good. Only one issue was that their non alcoholic drink menu was limited so maybe consider improving this area. Food was delicious

Sage and Vine – CarlisleNot a good expierience we where on holiday that week and booked for a meal at 6pm in the evening we were greeted and were rushed to a table which was very squashed almost had menu thrown at us and were told the sitting was the best she could do. Not a good start food came out my chips were cold . Went to pay at the bar and was told we dont take cash by a very rude barman then a woman behind the bar also said we dont take cash but if we do you will not get any change what a joke . Unfortunately it spoilt the evening but not our holiday the staff needs some customer care training . We will not be retuning again .

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVisited on Sunday evening at 6.30pm for dinner with granddaughter. Ordered 2 beef roasts and child's meal. Food was ok but the roast potatoes were awful. Rock hard and the size of a £1 coin. Not sure what was going on there? Staff seemed very harassed and service was slow but really what spoilt it was the loud mouthed woman in the bar who swore continously and called everyone a b**stard. I would have expected management to ask her to moderate her language and volume, disappointing.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe spent a very enjoyable evening at Lewis's Bistro. We both had fillet steak, mine was part of the stroganoff and it was delicious. Not a cheap meal, but a really enjoyable one and we'd definitely go back. Lovely staff, great atmosphere and excellent food.

However we felt the food wasn't quite as good as our previous visit in march. We had a roast beef Sunday roast and felt the roast potatoes were hard and the beef was very chewy. The service and general atmosphere was very good.

Horse and Farrier Inn – KeswickWe booked this as birthday meal and it was delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly, chips were fluffy and hot , peppercorn sauce was super as was a side of tender stem broccoli. The service was excellent throughout. My partner had the lamb and wanted to change the accompaniments. This was done with no problem. We had a chocolate fondant and a creme brulee for dessert. Both were flawless. A really lovely evening, we would highly recommend and look forward to our next visit.
