We made a last minute decision to call here on our way home from a busy day in the Lakes. Great choice! A warm welcome by Lucie, and excellent service throughout. Fabulous meal for 3, beautifully cooked and presented. A lovely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We also loved it was so dog friendly too Thanks so much, we look forward to our next visit!

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhat a find. An absolutely beautiful setting the atmosphere, food and service lived up to expectations. We enjoyed the Chicken Supreme and Roasted Cod and we just had to try the deserts. The sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake didn’t disappoint
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAfter a recommendation we booked a table for Sunday lunch. Was seated straight away. Waited 30 minutes for our meal and had to remind a staff member that we were waiting. Food was pipping hot and tasty. Would have preferred more vegetables but that’s just a personal opinion.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe booked two evenings at Lewis’s and on both occasions it was fantastic. Food and drinks were delicious, the staff attentive and friendly, the atmosphere relaxing. A return visit for us as we also visited on a previous visit to Grasmere - that was equally as good. We’ll definitely book again on our next planned visit.

Best meal we have had so far on our Coast to Coast walk and I doubt if we’ll have anything to beat it. Would definitely come again if we are in the area.

Food was generally not up to their usual standard, they forgot one of the starters, forgot to serve vegetables for two dishes, the one portion of chips ordered were undercooked and they had run out of mango chutney for the ordered curry! However one member of the serving team did his best to look after us, but it looked like they had problems in the kitchen.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. I had the tempura vegetables followed by the vegetable curry. I thoroughly enjoyed both courses. Beautifully prepared and well seasoned. I had to ask for a plate for the curry as I couldn’t eat from the dishes they were served in. That was no problem at all. My husband enjoyed his Gambas Pil Pil and Fillet Steak Stroganoff. Both full but we could not resist the delicious Lemon and Raspberry Cheesecake and ordered a slice to share with creamy vanilla ice cream. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Grasmere x
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe stumbled upon this lovely little pub on our journey to the lakes and had a wonderful lunch stop there. The food is delicious and home cooked. All the staff are welcoming and attentive . We enjoyed our lunch so much on the Thursday that we decided to book a table and go back for Sunday roast, we were not dissapointed! The beef was so tender as was the lamb. Highly recommend this little gem
