Great atmosphere excellent service by friendly staff and food was superb. Have been every year for last 4 years when meeting friends in Carlisle.

Excellent food and service. Seated straight away. Menus and drinks arrived quickly. The lamb dish was with a salad, asked if it could be served with veg, no problem and was delicious. We all (four ladies) had a lovely time, and would definitely return

Went to Sage and Vine Fri lunchtime for the first time, husband really enjoyed his macho pizza and I really loved the cod cheeks and the mushrooms crostini. The decor and service was lovely too. great menu.We will be back to try more gorgeous food, thanks for lovely meal

Unbelievable experience. Staff friendly and welcoming. Food unbelievable. A gem in Penrith that needs to be visited… more than once. If we are ever back this way we will definitely be stopping in again.

Amazing food Pizza was unreal Service was top tier can not fault

Definitely worth a visit, but be sure to book ahead. The Whipped Feta starter was delicious and beautifully presented. Our main courses were excellent, and the kitchen was more than happy to accommodate our requested ingredient swaps without any fuss. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our visit. We also used the online booking system, which was quick, easy, and worked perfectly. With great food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere, we would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a lovely impromptu meal at the Wheatsheaf on Wednesday evening. It can get booked up at weekends but luckily being midweek we got a table . The food was lovely, the cheese and onion pie being especially good. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, there was a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I visited this restaurant in a group of four; every starter and main course we had were excellent and we would highly recommend it. We used the online booking facility and that also worked perfectly. Service was friendly and atmosphere great.

This was our fifth visit to the restaurant and once again excellent service and food. Compliments to the chef for the delicious meals. Will book again and highly recommend our family and friends.

Booked for Sunday lunch at the pheasant even though I made my reservation over a week in advance alot of time slots were full (so be warned!) The staff were very welcoming and friendly even though they were very busy. We arrived 15min early but our table was ready for us . The drinks were priced as you would expect for Keswick We ordered two Sunday roasts which we thoroughly enjoyed . The portion sizes were large ,to say the least!!.we didn't mind paying £23 due to the quality and quantity! Unfortunately we cannot comment regarding the desert menu as we were too full! Highly recommend

Worst experience Ive had in a restaurant in a long time. Ive been coming for years and always found it to be exceptional but I will never come again after what happened. The waitress was combative and rude. I heard her saying horrible things about me to the kitchen staff. When I went to speak to the manager she held a dish of chips up to my face in an aggressive manner. I have never been treated like this in a restaurant in my life. Absolutely disgusted.

Another relaxed meal at Lewis's. We always make a point of booking here when staying in Grasmere. As well as the food being tasty, the service is at a very even pace which makes for an enjoyable night out.
