The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat pub, great food , wide choice of dishes and superb service by the team. Try the Pheasant Ale!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickDespite pre booking our food several days in advance, we were told when pudding was being served that they were out of custard. Can’t understand this if we had pre booked. The decor was very tired. Food was ok. I wouldn’t return.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithWe went with our children, and everyone enjoyed it. Lovely place, food was satisfying, service was excellent and warm
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food, our table of four couldn’t fault a single item. We received pleasant service also from all waiters staff who seemed happy to be there. We would recommend for anyone in the area and will return next year when we revisit the lakes!
Horse and Farrier – PenrithAlways my go to restaurant when in town. Fantastic food Fantastic services Excellent value for money
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe brought our golf society to Mezzalunna after a recommendation. There were 16 hungry (and thirsty) men. The owner was a pleasure to deal with before we arrived and incredibly helpful. On the evening itself, we were slightly late due to us underestimating Silloth golf course, but the staff were very understanding. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. The food was brought out piping hot and all at the same time, even though it was clearly a busy evening. The food itself was excellent. I had a Canneloni which was top notch. Our starters were superb too. Everybody in our party were happy with their meals. The atmosphere was excellent with the other larger party joining in with our “Happy Birthday” rendition for one of our senior members. He was thrilled to have a bit of a fuss made of the occasion. All in all we couldn’t have been happier with our evening. Thank you very much to all the staff, they are outstanding, and contributed to a lovely evening. Top marks.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThe Pheasant is a fantastic Lakeland pub, where the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming and the kitchen team consistently produce good quality food. I am a regular and I am never disappointed.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickAmazing meal, amazing service, fabulous gluten free options. I’ll be back most definitely, highly recommend.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleDelicious food, beautifully cooked and well presented by friendly and attentive staff. Over 2 visits, our party sampled meat, fish and vegetarian options for starters and mains and can recommend them all. Rhubarb crumble tart with ginger ice cream is a perfect pud. We'll be back!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithExcellent meal with lovely friendly service. The steak and seabass were superb and good wines.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithBrilliant stay. Lovely staff especially the lady who seemed to do Everthing from waiting bar, waitresses and cleaning rooms. She was so helpful and friendly. Food was so good, homely, decent portions and tasty.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsFriends recommended The Pheasant to us and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff attentive but not intrusive. We’ll definitely book again next time we’re in Keswick.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSpot on every time. Consistently perfect. Roast beef perfectly cooked, just that nice pinkness in the middle. Always a good selection of ales and lovely staff with a great view across the fells. If you have room don’t miss the puddings.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithPerfect place for a sunday roast.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithExcellent Sunday lunch. The lamb Henry fell off the bone and the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world.
