We visited yesterday after doing the fairy steps walk. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Loved the dog menu and staff were friendly towards our two dogs too. Food was delicious and we will definitely return when in the area again. Thanks.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe ate here on one night but had a fussy newborn baby. The staff went out of their way to take baby on a short walk so we could enjoy our dinner for a few minutes. Food, presentation and service were also exceptional. Could not recommend this place enough!

Pheasant Inn – KeswickIts been a while since we visited The Queens Head Inn at Tirril, as we stay locally during holiday park season. We knew this had been taken over recently, so we tried it again. The food was really good, fresh, and nice and hot ! Service, dare I say, not so good, Im sorry.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickFood was fantastic but service was terrible from the moment we entered the pub.was told our table was in the corner but not asked if we wanted drinks for a good 10mins.waitress eventually asked us if we wanted a drink and also asked if we were ready to order our food which we did,but she didn’t mention the specials which were out of our vision behind us on the fireplace wall.(my wife would have had one of the options if she had asked)we then ordered ice cream but wasn’t asked if we wanted the sauce as another waitress run off before we got chance to say what we wanted.ice cream was of course delivered without any sauce by a waiter who had to take them back.last time we went it was superb food and service so such a shame that the service has gone down to such a level.
