We visited this restaurant on our last day of holiday- booked a table for 6 people, one is a wheelchair user. I was running few minutes late as my sat nav lost signal. Staff were ultra helpful and accommodating. Place has a lovely atmosphere and history with well maintained original features. Food was excellent, great selection for all types of preferences. Service was amazing and everyone from the team very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointing. No pies, no quiche of choice, no ginger beer (all of which were on the menu) and no ice for our drinks! Service was slow.

We had three terrific meals here over our week in Brassington and highly recommend

We visited Baileys whilst on holiday, there was a party of 8 of us with two dogs and one of the party is a coeliac. The initial contact with the restaurant was brilliant very quick and easy. Food was amazing, the menu was marked for gf which was helpful for choosing. The service was efficient and friendly, the restaurant was relaxed in atmosphere. Shame we didn’t get to go twice the food was that good and well presented. If we are ever near Buxton again we will be sure to visit. Thank you for the experience stress free dining with a coeliac.

Absolutely superb! A relaxed dining atmosphere coupled with exquisite dishes, using the freshest ingredients. We absolutely adored our dining experience at the Two Hares. We felt so very well looked after. We’ll definitely be back.

Great evening, thank you. Food, atmosphere, service all Great. The best things were the truffle hash browns with pecorino. Fantastic.

I booked a table for 12 for a family get together. Food, a mixture of starters, mains and desserts were all delicious and really nicely presented. Staff very helpful, knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely atmosphere and the singer who came on at 9.30 was really good. Will definitely return again. Thank you.

Sunday lunch was fab Met up with a friend for Sunday lunch .The food and service were wonderful . Such a pleasant environment with nice staff - I will certainly be coming again Thanks to the chef and team

Me and my girlfriend have a lovely meal last night the food was really lovely and tasty , it was the first time we had eaten there but would definitely come again a meal and drinks

Copied from my review on TripAdvisor: We had a superb meal on our first visit to Bailey's. We had an early evening dinner before going to the Opera House. We were welcomed and shown to a table in the window (we had booked the day before). We were told that the "Bailey's pie" was steak pie today so I decided to chose it. It was obviously home made and very tasty. The vegetables it was served with were just right: not overcooked but not too hard. My wife chose fillet steak, cooked rare, and she said it was the best steak she had had for years. Both meals were accompanied by chips which were excellent . We were intrigurued by the "Buxton pudding" on the menu and so had one to share for our dessert. As recommended by our waiter we had it with custard (rather than cream or ice-cream). It was a raspberry jam pie with a crumble topping. We really enjoyed it. The drinks list looked very interesting but as we were going to the theatre we stuck to tap water (which was provided as soon as we arrived without our having to ask). Service was excellent. It was very good value. For two main courses, one dessert and two coffees plus a tip we paid just under £60. We will be going back on our next trip to Buxton.

Lovely atmosphere great staff stater was lovely but unfortunately when it came to us ordering the meal course everything we choose had sold out. As there is only a small menu it didn’t really give us a lot of choice so we ended up eating something we didn’t actually want.

Had a couple of meals here 3 years ago, so booked ahead for our stay in the Peaks. Standard, if possible, of food and welcome even greater than back then. Great food, wonderful range especially for us allergy suffering folk. Attentive service, superb atmosphere, the acid test is that locals frequent and it’s always busy. Compared with “down south” value for money outstanding.

Fabulous Village pub! Went in for a couple of drinks the first day we arrived. Beer garden was really spacious. Lots of seats.. Our pampered pooch was allowed outside and also in the pub. Really good and accommodating. Went for the Sunday lunch. Wow it was awesome. Really hot and fresh. Great gravy! Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area!

Excellent Sunday Roast (as always). We have eaten at Bailey's several times, mainly for Sunday Roasts or Special Occasions. The Food & Service is always excellent. It's a shame though that the Duck is no longer an option for the Sunday Roast
