Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldHad a medical emergency here some weeks ago and had to pull into the carpark to wait for an ambulance. The duty manager was brill.... Anyway thought it would be rude not to book and visit as the place looked lovely.it didn't disappoint. Very welcoming and friendly and the food was spot on. service spot on, atmosphere spot on.! Food nice and hot, very enjoyable. Will definitely book again. Great value for money.
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWhat a find. Beautiful grounds, food and excellent service from the cafe and farm shop staff. Have booked lunch again next week!!!
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldWe had a fantastic surprise 70th birthday afternoon tea for 12 people here. Ages ranged from 10 to 72 and we had vegans and vegetarians in our group and everyone was catered to beautifully. We had booked a couple of months in advance and pre-paid for the tea and garden entrance. Juliet’s team said that they could decorate the birthday table for us and when we arrived it was all ready and looking absolutely spectacular with birthday banners, flowers and pink decorations. The individual cream teas were served on 3 tier cake stands and included sandwiches, savoury pastries and all sorts of delicious cakes. There were even extra marshmallow lollipops for the children in the group. The ladies who worked in the cafe were all very friendly and polite. It could not have been better, thank you so much to the staff for making mum’s birthday surprise a huge success :)
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldWe had the cream tea which was everything expected of it. Large scone, jam and clotted cream with a hot tea served on lovely crockery.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldVery nice lunchtime meal in relaxing surroundings. Allergies well catered for. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice homemade food.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldDelicious food, great service, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Will return for sure and the afternoon tea is the best I’ve had in Derbyshire
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldA lovely Sunday morning breakfast. Our first visit but very impressed so we will we be visiting again. Good choice of food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and great service. Lovely little setting. Would highly recommend.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldLovely food and great service
The Plough Inn – AlfretonWe had a recent Afternoon Tea and enjoyed it very much. The room was lovely, decorated very well. It was a Christmas gift and was a lovely surprise, I would recommend it to friends. Thank you.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldThe food was amazing and the staff very polite and approachable. Will definitely be calling back again
The Plough Inn – AlfretonNice setting, but the meal was spoiled by my having to wait over an hour to receive it; this, despite having booked a table in advance. It would appear there may be an inadequate level of staffing in the kitchen and I think this should be addressed.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldHad a guided tour round the house yesterday followed by afternoon tea … The whole experience was lovely, really enjoyed looking round the house & the gardens. I have to say the gardens are some of the best I’ve seen ( I’m a National trust member so visit a lot) The afternoon tea was lovely, good selection of food & definitely worth the money. ( too much for us to eat) Will definitely be visiting again
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldLovely afternoon tea in beautifully decorated room. Food was lovely, tea was delicious as was sparkling wine. Sandwiches were generous in portions although a little plain in flavour e.g beef with no mustard, cheese with no pickle. Staff were exceptional especially Jackie. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Would recommend.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldPleasant environment and staff good but food choices limited and poor coffees. Unusual not to have expresso coffee machine serving fresh coffees in a restaurant of this type. Asked if scones were fresh today and advised delivered that day but definitely not freshly made. Overall won’t go back for food but good house visit and garden lovely.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldJust come from Renishaw Hall cafe where we had our pre booked afternoon tea for two, I have to state that it was wonderful, all of it. The tea was well brewed and hot, the wonderful selection of food was all tasty and plentiful, made extra pretty with the addition of fresh fruits scattered like jewels amoung the cake and strawberry topped scones, I made sure to tell the very polite and efficient waitress that this tea scored more points with me that the one which we had at Highgrove recently, much better tea, food and value Well done the ladies of Renishaw cafe, keep up the good work
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldRenishaw is beautiful, the table was gorgeous but the food/drink wasn’t good. Iv been for many afternoon teas and never have I had tea/coffee out of a flask. The sandwiches were dry and fillings poor however the cake was good. The waitress was pouring hot drinks across the table over my 3 year old and also a 2 year old. The waitress also kept picking the cup up by putting her fingers inside it which was not ideal.
Renishaw Hall and Gardens Cafe – ChesterfieldLimited choice, long delivery wait and pretty mean panini filling. This is a pretty restricted offering in a pleasant space - my advice would be to eat somewhere else…..
