another change of owner, not as good as a 18 months ago. The comfy sofas have gone and only wooden chairs now. Also no B&B rooms available anymore. The food was OK but nothing spectacular. Its lost some of its country charm and is definitely not for the better.

At long last Tiverton has an English/European restaurant in the town. We've dined here a few times now and we've always had a warm welcome and we've never been disappointed whatever we choose from the varied menu. We would recommend The Cellar to everyone who appreciates fine dining in a friendly, intimate venue.

The Cellar Restaurant – Tiverton

A friendly, traditional, quayside pub frequented by trawlermen and other locals as well as visitors that come back year after year. The well kept cellar provides excellent real ales. Visitors return time after time for brandy coffees and crab sandwiches as well as beers and spirits, they also enjoy the tables outside overlooking the harbour and the convivial atmosphere inside this historic pub.

Landlady a little turse and not overly welcoming, but food superb - THE best home-made lasagna I've ever had, with an excellent salad and very tasty, crunchy chips.

Hare and Hounds – Sidmouth

EXCELLENT food and atmosphere, great staff, always friendly with great service. The place just needs to be checked out, better than some joints in the states, music is better too. CHECK IT OUT, GREAT PLACE

I have eaten at the noodle lounge on several occasions and every time the service and food was excellent. I have recommended the lounge to several of my friends and all have had the same experience.

My husband son and I had Christmas dinner at the Devon court last year. The starters amazed my son. The main course was perfect the turkey was very moist, the vegetables wholesome and not over simmered. The gravy was not a stock cube bit of veg juice and boiling water. The dessert was amazing a piece of cheese cake each half the size of the plate. Thank you Devon Court. We are coming again

I tried the Thai House many years ago. It was out standing. I returned there 4 years ago with my partner and the food was still out standing. I love its, warm friendly and cosy atmosphere. Me and my partner have had at least one meal here each month since that time and have enjoyed every single meal. A mix of warm flavours and home found produce. Well worth a try.

A holiday on Dartmoor is not complete without a meal at Badgers Hold at Dartmeet. The food is wonderful, freshly cooked and delicious! The staff are wonderful too. So friendly and comfortable we've been? I've lost count how many times we've been there. Well worth a visit.

Five Star We visited Annabelles kitchen on the night it opened. The food and atmosphere was excellent. We had a window table with a wonderful view and the hostess and chef were very attentive. We were so impressed we tried to put an item on Tripadvisor but they were unable to oblige (probably because it was a new restaurant). Very good value for money. We will certainly pay another visit when we are next in Dartmouth

Having found this new cafe by accident, I shall certainly go back anytime I am in Totnes. Light, airy and pleasant surroundings, serving great coffee and excellent value food that would not be out of place in a far more upper class venue. We also had a parent in a wheelchair, so being spacious and on ground level, makes access very easy.

I would recommend Arribas for any occasion. The food is amazing and you get quite a lot for your money :D 5*****

In fairness it was some time ago, but the chips were cold, and the burger like leather. Will not be recommending it . It did however look fun., and very attractive from outside

My X wife attended a party with our children at the Plymouth branch. The food was un-eatable. Then to top it all there is a sign that says if there is food left on your plate we may charge you extra for NOT EATING IT! So to avoid this she went to eat a chicken ball from our sons plate! She was then charged full price for a meal for her! So not only was she charged for our sons meal he did not eat she was charged for a meal she did not have! To top it all our daughter hated the food too and did not eat hers! Then to top it all the manager took her money and laughed at her as she left!

Buffet City – Plymouth

We really liked this place. They were very friendly and attentive, the food was superb and locally-sourced with some imaginative twists such as serving a shot of apple brandy with the cheese. Wish it was just around the corner!
