Portions are enormous. Really good pub grub. Can get a bit busy on a Friday evening. Steak night on a Thursday is very popular. Well worth a visit.

Huntsman Inn The – Exeter

A nice restaurant/bar, just out of the way of the "town centre". Probably the best place in Seaton to eat out. Went on a Friday night, which was when we discovered the restaurant, and had a lovely evening meal, followed by a highly enjoyable night spent in the "disco" which we were told is a regular Friday night occurrence. Would definitely recommend, if you're out and about in Seaton!

Winstons Bar and Grill – Seaton

I was very pleasantly surprised to discover Winston's restaurant - after only having known about the bar beforehand. The size of the portions was very good for the price, and the menu was quite varied, and catered for our whole family with no problems. Service was also very good. Highly recommended!

new owners Steve and Kell made our holiday , we dined everyday throughout our stay as we found something the whole family could enjoy ... a first for our kids !! 1. As for the ice cream parlour. wicked and the cheapest desserts i've ever seen. 2. real baked potatoes on the Sunday roast 3.only £4.50 for a full Monty breakfast 4. last but not least. the cream teas will certainly pile on the pounds

Tythe Cottage Tea Rooms – Exeter

The setting is fabulous (within Gin Distillery, on the Barbican). The place had a relaxed feeling, yet was tastefully decorated. Thought the menu was varied. I was really impressed with the sea bass.

Enjoyed a meal at this place earlier in the year, superb Monkfish! Am returning this weekend and looking forward to some yummy tuck! I think Gordon Ramsay would approve unlike some other restaurants I have visited in this area!

Me and my wife recently ate at the church house for the first time. Although it was very quiet, being a Tuesday night in winter probably had something to do with it, there was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food, which we later found out was cooked by a very young sous-chef, was outstanding. Mussel and scallop starters both cooked to perfection and on our table very quickly. For mains, salmon and fillet steak, again very well cooked and superbly presented. When paired with a bottle from the very impressive and varied wine list, this proved a lovely meal. The prices may seem a little much but in our opinion we definitely got our money's worth via large portions and good quality food and drink. we will definitely be returning over the Christmas period, if only to show friends and family the type of fantastic restaurant that, to our knowledge, doesn? get the praise it deserves from the local community.

Excellent food, friendly family service. The beers are very well kept, too. 10 mile drive from my home, passing several other good pubs, but I shall definitely continue going back.

The setting of this hotel, in grade one listed gardens, with the tamar flowing below, is simply stunning. We had lunch on the terrace. Not another building in site. Some people were playing croquet on the lawn. The food was delicious, it did cost £29 for three courses. A top room here cost £400. So I think restaurant is subsidised by the rooms. It was just wonderful.

Hotel Endsleigh – Tavistock

Great food and fantastic service. Price deals mid-week and early evening. Neil's is comfortably smart but the ambience is sometimes just a little flat - some more carefully chosen music would help!

Neil’s Restaurant – Sidmouth

This was the first time we have eaten at the Old Market since the new owners have taken over. WOW what a change. The restaurant has now been full refurbished, and the chef is first class. The food and choice was second to none, and the dessert, oh the desserts are to die for.

Old Market Inn – Holsworthy

This is a tiny, family run restaurant, a little quirky but well loved by locals. It's unlicensed but The Radway Pub (next door but one) will sell you a beer and let you take the glass back later :)
