Tanners Restaurant

Outstanding food in an fantastic setting. The 15th centuary building created a fantastic ambience that just cannot be beaten. Make sure you book for a table.

Bell Inn The

Many a time do i pop down to The Bell Inn @ Parkham. they serve wonderful food, the staff are all beautiful and friendly. The cook, makes the most scrumptious food i have ever tasted, and the setting and location of the pub is extremely picturesque. Inside you are greeted with friendly faces and an old style country pub. To top of the beauty of this place the pub serves local drink and freshly prepared meats from the locals. I would give this pub a grand 10/10. If you want a good, filling meal with great surroundings then go to the BELL INN PARKHAM :-) * * *

Bell Inn The – Bideford
Poopdeck, The

We are hooked on the Poop Deck - the food is incredible, always of very good quality. The seafood frittata is amazing!

Poopdeck – Brixham
Zizzi Restaurant

Excellent food and friendly service. Great Pizza and the best icecream I've ever tasted! Highly recomended!

Zizzi – Exeter
Thai Palace The

fresh tasting thai.cuisine. Fresh spices and herbs were gently infused to bring out the best flavour in thai cooking. Highly recommended

Thai Palace The – Plymouth
Red Barn

My favourite pub in England. The atmosphere is special, the views across the fabulous beach breathtaking and the food is excellent with big hearty portions. The only problem is getting in during peak periods, where waiting is often necessary for a seat. But the backdrop of surfing memorabilia certainly adds to the charm of the place, with classic 'boards from the 50's and 60's hanging from the ceiling. Expect to pay £7-£10 for a meal, with the sunday lunch (£6.50 Aug 03) being the best I've had.

Red Barn – Woolacombe
Start Bay Inn

lovely fresh fish and chips...very popular with locals

Start Bay Inn – Kingsbridge
Conservatory The

We have been here about three times now and it just gets better. The service is a little more relaxed now which is nice. Food is all excellent, from the olives and bread to the perfectly cooked vegetables and delicious main dishes. Thw wine list is well chosen and very reasonable - check out their wine specials. Book well in advance as they are almost always full.

Conservatory The – Exeter
Butterleigh Inn The

there was a good, friendly atmosphere at the pub and everyone was very friendly. the food was very good for a reasonable price and the drink was good too.

Butterleigh Inn The – Exeter
Jingles

This is a great place for a part - lively happy music and a real sense of fun. The menu is incredible and the portions are huge. Frozen margaritas are great and there are too many tequilas to count.

Jingles – Torquay
Starz Bar & Restaurant

This place is the BEST place I have eaten in ever. I have gone back time and time again because you are made to feel so special here. The manager is always around to talk to and the staff, well that is a treat in it's self, warm, polite and very helpful. My 14 year old sister was in love with a couple of waiters and didn't know which way to turn. They cater for all walks of life as well as disabled people as I have a disabled brother. I have recommend this place to all my friends and my family loved it greatly. This is the one and only place to visit when in Exeter. I love it. Does that come across that I like this place? I think so.

Starz Bar and Restaurant – Exeter
Poopdeck, The

the first time we went, my husband and I were astonished at the size of the portions. We had read the excellent review in the Devon Life (April 2004) which we couldn't quite believe. However, since going back again and again (sometimes 2 times a week), we know we have discovered the very best seafood restaurant in the whole of Torbay. Unfortunately, to this date, we have been unable to have a table in the window overlooking Brixham harbour. These are snapped up in advance very early, so we would recommend anyone to book very early. The staff are "in tune" with the dishes and can answer any queries. This is a plus! They are also very attention and pleasant. We will continue to go to the Poopdeck indefinitely.

Poopdeck – Brixham
Horn Of Plenty

Not a cheap restaurant - budget at least 50 quid a head, and be prepared to be wowed. We felt is was more than worth what we paid. Starting with delicately tempting canapes served in front of a real fire, the meal just got better and better. The restaurant has an awesome view down the Tamar valley, the service was attentive but not intrusive, and the food was very possibly the best meal I've ever had. Save up, then go and enjpy it!

Horn Of Plenty – Tavistock
Anchor Inn The

It had a friendly & cosy atmosphere in this country inn, we felt at home & staff were lovely. They can go one even better they have letting rooms so you eat in the restaurant, drink in the bar & crawl upstairs to your room. In conclusion, food, drink, bed & great atmosphere all under one roof, what more can we say...

Anchor Inn The – Bideford
Albert Inn The

The Albert Inn in Totnes is one of those rarest of pubs that has, thankfully, been left unspoilt by?efurbishment?by the breweries. It is so unspoilt, in fact that there is no TV. If you feel like watching the football and chucking beer around, you need to go somewhere else. the pub is known more for encouraging the art of conversation. The cosy freehouse is owned and run by Tim and Susan Langsford who have had many years?experience in the pub trade, having run the Kingsbridge Inn in Totnes and the Queen? Arms at Dartington over the years. You can always be assured of a warm welcome and good home-cooked food at very reasonable prices with a frequently updated specials board - example - Steak and Ale pie with a mountain of veg and potatoes or chips for £4.95. On tap are various lagers and beers with real ales and weekly-changing guest ale ans well as more than 40 different whiskies. The pub features a bar side and a smaller lounge/snug and a sizeable beer garden overlooking the River Dart.

Albert Inn The – Totnes
Old Timers Wine Bar & Restaurant

Old Timers is one of Exeter's best restaurants. The atmosphere and food is very unpretentious offering quality recognisable food that is cooked and presented wonderfully. The staff go out of their way to ensure that your evening is satisfactory. I had the Greek Salad as a starter followed by the duck as a main course. I would strongly recommend the duck as the porions were generous and cooked beautifully. The house red was also very good. The restaurant is conveniently placed just a few yards from the centre of the high street and stumbling distance from Timepiece night club making it a very good place to have dinner when celebrating or having work functions.
