When we turned up it was very quiet. The staff were very courteous and welcoming. The two meals for £12.00 were fantastic value. I would definitely come again.

Robbie Sidmouth Resident

I visit Sidmouth Tandoori once a week usually on my own on a week night evening. The quality of food is absolutely superb, and way above the standard of what other Indian food is available in a wide radius. Staff are genuine and really friendly, you get good portions of food (vegetable curry is served as standard with a shaslik). Alcohol is allowed to be brought in with no corkage charge, a far cheaper option than most restaurants and a wide range of soft drinks and tea/coffee is also available. Well recommended.

In Devon this pud needs no introduction, to others its in a very small village in central Devon. Basically, great pub nosh (hogs pudding, etc) great beer, straight from the barrel behind the bar. 3 rooms, ensuite but at present with baths, not showers. Just the ideal country, community pub

Duke Of York – Winkleigh
Airasay

Fantastic high quality, locally sourced food at very reasonable prices. It has an extensive range of tasty fish dishes and a friendly, cosy atmosphere with excellent customer service. all the dishes were well presented and there is a clear passion for good food. Beer is a beautiful little village too. I cannot recommend this pub enough, it's a real gem.

Barrel O’Beer – Seaton

Best casual Chinese food in Plymouth. Having ate Chinese from Sydney, Hong Kong , Vancouver , this places serves authentic and extremely delicious uncomplicated food. The service is excellent.

As usual we had a wonderful lunch at Bistro One. Mr Barrett is helpful and friendly and makes excellent recommendations. No wonder they have won the title of Best Restaurant in Plymouth for 2011!! We had bangers and mash with braised cabbage for £5 and it was delicious.

Bistro One – Plymouth
Saza

what an amazing find this was, the staff are so attentive, the food delicious, an amazing selection of real ales (someone really knows how to nurture them) relaxed and welcoming, our first visit and definitely not our last, big shout for the mount radford

Mount Radford Inn The – Exeter
Jamiekay

Excellent choice, after some disappointments at the menu stage, the sea bream with ratatouille was unavailable although still on the specials board, we asked for the plaice with ratatouille instead, ah , no ratatouille..I enjoyed a decent 8 oz sirloin slightly overcooked but still moist enough, my wife chose a chicken dish also nicely presented although too much vinegar in the salad dressing, she thought it nice enough.Excellent choice of local quantock and bay breweries ale. Slightly off putting but the only table available faced the pool table..it was busy for a Monday night though so well done Work in progress atmosphere wise but shows great potential and deserves to prosper

Hele Billys – Ilfracombe

My fiance and I both enjoyed a lovely roast lunch today at Trotters in Seaton. As always the food was beautifully cooked and presented, (gravy very special every time) and the owners make you very welcome. A really good place in Seaton to eat.

After a long day in Paignton my friend and I decided to stop at what looked like a nice place to eat. Little did we know.. The girl on the till was rushing us to place our order and her maths wasn't the best with giving change either, a non-issue really.. However, we politely asked a guy who worked there and was stacking shelves if he minded us taking down a chair to sit on, it had been a long day! Apparently this was unacceptable. We sat outside the chip shop on one of the seats, deciding it was far too cold we went inside and another customer offered up a spare chair on their table. We kindly accepted. The gent who was stacking the shelves came over as if he was going to hit us, "You can't bring chairs in from outside! Put it back!" After explaining that we had used a chair from inside the store, we were once more shouted at and told this was unacceptable. We instantly demanded our money back as we would not be dining there, we were once again shouted at. After asking to see the manager we were informed there would be a long wait, clearly only said to get rid of us. It's ok, we had a few hours left on the car.. The girl on the till gave us our money back, but was furious when we still wanted to see the manager. The manager comes out, "What's your problem?!" was the greeting. After explaining the issue she didn't seem to care in the slightest. With a manager like that no wonder the staff are terrible. Will never visit again.

Scoffs – Paignton

Peter Tavy Inn – Tavistock

Quite possibly thee best place to eat Chinese Food in Plymouth (Imperial Gardens on Ebrington St comes close with their Ho-Fun Noodle menu) The boss, Johnny, is welcoming, and enjoys you having a taster from his extensive 'Head Menu' . He will suggest particular courses / menus that work really well together, Michael the chef (on the top floor) is good, really good...perfect meal every time. What is also good is the Japanese Waitress who runs the top floor...My Wife's best friend...she has an eye for picking the perfect menu from the extensive list in front of you...we've been there a few times now, it definitely won't be the last. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere and want to taste some "real" Chinese food, then The Noodle Lounge is the only restaurant to visit in Plymouth.

Since being introduced to the Noodle Lounge we would not eat in any other Chinese Restaurant in Plymouth. The food is excellent (Jonny will recommend a selection for you which is superb or you can order from the menu) Highly recommended.
