The Farmers Arms – DurhamWe had a lovely family Sunday lunch for 5 people. After having a bad experience at another local establishment recently I was apprehensive. Well I needn't have worried, everything was great. Hot plates, hot Sunday lunch. Tasty, well cooked vegetables. Lovely roast potatoes. Plentiful meal. Excellent value for money. Most had the 3 course special. Desserts were lovely too. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamAmazing service and amazing food. Reasonably priced, especially for the quality and the quantity you receive. Quote from my mate who was with us "best gravy I've ever had" Will be back. Loved it all
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandLovely pub really nice atmosphere, was very busy staff were lovely but rushed off their feet, we waited 45 mins for meal but food was excellent when it came. Desert came really quickly and was wonderful. Waitress was great very pleasant and cheerful and interacted really well with us throughout our Sunday lunch. Would highly recommend and will defo return
The Farmers Arms – DurhamHad Tapas here quite a few times now and the food is delicious Excellent service Lovely restaurant Would highly recommend
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamLovely meal every time we come
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamReception Staff helpful and courteous and helpful. However resteraunt experience felt more like we were an inconvienience than much needed customers. Poor manners lack of attentiveness and cold food made night a disaster. Other diners clearly feeling same way. We got married here and it was amazing so this was a shock and a real shame.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonFood is well worth the money service excellent the only hick was the waiting time. Definitely be back
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWent to a Spa and lunch at Hall Garth in May. It's the first time I have been to this hotel, however it won't be the last. I was very impressed with the facilities and the food was excellent. I only marked down a point for atmosphere, as we were the only diners in the restaurant. I have already recommended the hotel & Spa to my friends
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonLovely old fashion tradition pub. Service second to none staff friendly and attentive Food was delicious
The Farmers Arms – DurhamEnjoyed what I had but just not keen on the pickled cabbage on Sunday lunch.
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandThe food was good, I had a Cajun hanging kebab and my husband a blue burger. Could have done with a side plate to assemble the wrap and I would have asked for one but no staff were around. Service was quite slow, we waited 50 minutes and it wasn’t that busy when we ordered. Also no one checked if everything was ok with our meals.
The George of Piercebridge – DarlingtonWas given a voucher for Afternoon Tea so chose The George. It was delicious and worth the drive to get there. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service very good. Will definitely make a return trip to eat there again.
The George of Piercebridge – DarlingtonI’d heard good reviews about the food and we weren’t disappointed in Sunday lunch . Beautifully cooked meat and veg and a big yorkie pud .. which was a little crisp but tasty non the less . Pleasant service and quirky surroundings with ceiling painting and light shades . Will come again
The Farmers Arms – Durham3rd meal at the castle restaurant , this time we tried the Sunday Lunch. Pork was beautiful however the Beef was a little chewy/fatty. An idea may be to revert back to serving vegetables in separate bowls to be able to put on what you like and how much as plates were overloaded. Great service as always and will be back!
Witton Castle Country Park – Bishop AucklandVery enjoyable meal Food was great and generous portion Quirky wee place. Took a little time for our meal however they had a few groups in and food was freshly cooked so all worth it
The Farmers Arms – DurhamExcellent service lovely food dessert’s are amazing made by lady in fish shop. Would definitely recommend. I think people who own caravans could be offered a discount. Xx
