The Sunflower Eaterie – Southend On SeaThis was one of the worst restaurants I ever ate in - we were given shockingly small portion sizes - and I'm not a massive eater!! It was overpriced pretentious and the management need proper training on customer service - a potentially lovely lunch with 3 adults and 1 2 year old cost over £70 and we were not drinking! They didn't honour their kids meal deal - and charged my 2 year old son almost £15 for his tiny sausage and mash meal with ice cream desert .... An experience I will choose to forget rather than repeat!
The Shepherd and Dog – RomfordService was OK. Good value for money and food quantity.
Nirala Tandoori – ManningtreeGreat quality, good food speedy service. Would definitely recommend it.

Nirala Tandoori – ManningtreeRajpoot Cuisine, was a lovely restaurant but sadly has let it self down with with poor service and quality of the food. Been their on 3 other occasional and the food was very good and the service been very attentive. I recommend to friends for a birthday celebration, so we decided to book for a party of 6.. Very disappointed with the overall service and quality of the food. If the OWNER or MANAGER is viewing this...please go back to what you know best...GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD QUALITY FOOD.
Rajpoot Indian Cuisine – BenfleetI was very impressed with the beautiful food in this new restaurant on the scene. A fantastic menu, beautifully decorated environment and the staff were top notch. I would definitely return for lunch or dinner.
A La Turka Restaurant – BrentwoodSunday lunch £8.95 it was really nice and plenty of it staff very friendly
The Horse and Groom – BrentwoodGreat authentic Tia restaurant, fabulous atmosphere and ambiance, perfect for a couple or a family. Clean and tidy, the food is a pretty high standard as you would expect, not greasy but fresh light. Overall I would recommend.
Sanuk Thai Restaurant – Ongarfantastic food, great portions
Restobistro – EppingHad cocktails and dinner with my girl friends last Friday. Had a wonderful evening with really friendly and attentive staff. The food was beautifully presented, absolutely delicious and a reasonable price. My friend managed to entertain the restaurant by slipping over but next time she promises to behave!! Will definitely be returning

Skinner’s – Clacton On SeaIt was our first visit to the shepherd and dog. On pulling up to the restaurant we were like wow, this looks nice.We walked in and were greeted by I can only presume the floor manager. He showed us to our table. (Ps you must book to get a table as it was busy) The lady who attended to our table was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble..She checked on us a number of times during our visit. Wish you don't get anymore as other restaurants have such a quick turnaround and have to attend to so many customers. The decor was fresh and contemporary. It is very clean. The food arrived at the table quickly. It was very Michelin star food. You pay for what you get. The food was displayed perfectly on the plate. The desserts were lovely presented too.At the end of our time there. My stomach was extremely contented. We took our son. The only downside was there was no child size portions. Luckily he can eat an adult size portion. But for others it might be too much. I recommend the shepherd and dog and have done already to family and friends. We will be returning there soon.Thank you for a great dining experience
The Shepherd and Dog – RomfordUnfortunately, things may have changed since Mr. G. Robertson's visit.Had a carvery lunch last Wed. 18th and it was extremely disappointing. Meat was dry and the pork was very fatty. The brussel sprouts were overcooked and YELLOW in colour.
Bread and Cheese Public House – BenfleetI happened to be visiting family in Southend-On-Sea the other day, and after reading the fantastic reviews, I decided to bring my family here for a meal. I'm pleased to inform you it was a delightful experience and that we had a wonderful time. The service was very efficient and friendly, whilst the gorgeous Sunday roast was the best I have had in a while. I'll be certain to dine there again, as it made a great impression.
