This is by far the best roast I’ve had anywhere, will definitely be returning
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterWe’ve been here many times to eat and sometimes just for a drink. Absolutely fantastic. We took my sister and brother in law for Sunday dinner, they loved it as much as us. The staff were, as usual, attentive always around to get you anything without being all over you. The food (Sunday lunch) was really nice, we had the lamb, good portion and very tasty. Can’t wait for our next visit.
The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordWent for a Sunday roast and food was lovely. Didn’t get off to a great start as no booking on system but I had the proof and they sorted a table for 2. The roast was lovely the beef and the lamb. Order extra potatoes( you get loads) and the Mrs a cauliflower cheese. As this didn’t come till half way through the meal she took it off the bill with out asking. Excellent service and food was lovely. We will be back
The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordIt's fair to say the best Sunday lunch around! Dinner was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Lovely atmosphere in the pub and we cannot wait to return. If you want a really wholesome Sunday dinner then this is the best place. Friendly welcome by all the staff team too.
The Dukes Head – Bishops StortfordGreat Sunday lunch, quality of food portion size good
The Dukes Head – Bishops StortfordThe quality of breakfast was absolutely excellent, as always. The only slight moan was that I had to "flag down" a waitress twice to get our order taken. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry, as we're retired. However, asking once is understandable but twice seems a bit lax
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThe food was very good but the service was very poor. We waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken, half an hour to receive our drinks of water, coffee and bottle of fruit juice and 45 minutes for our food. I wanted to order a dessert but thought it would take too long,
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterWe had breakfast at the Barn on Saturday 11th October 2025. As usual all staff were very welcoming and cheery. Our food as always was amazing! Such great flavours and well presented. There is always plenty to choose from and I think it’s great value for what you get.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterOne of our favourite places for breakfast, the food is always amazing , staff are friendly and attentive.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterHad a lovely meal on Saturday evening, staff were very friendly and attentive. One of us was a coeliac and she couldn’t believe how much on the menu she could eat.
Grumpys Diner – SouthendLoved it. Great 0% beers to! Lovley staff really nice vibes, super tasty food. It’s not the cheapest … but IMHP worth every penny especially as it’s an indie place.
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendLovely as always! Great staff, nice decor. My Mother-in-law and I had the Swedish Hot Salmon open sandwich and the Harissa chicken with lentils and grains salad. The salad was so good, I am trying to figure out how to replicate it. Only grumble was that the drinks arrived late, and we had already started eating. Food was served quickly. Tiffin was delicious- huge portion.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterEvery single time. Spot on. Excellent good and service. Only issue for us was the noise of the babies, that did not stop for the whole of our Sunday Lunch, we know everyone wants to go out, ofcourse, maybe though, times could be staggered? So adults without children with them can also have a nice time out? Would it possible to stop babies, say, after 2pm? So adults know they can book when children aren't screaming?
The Dukes Head – Bishops StortfordFabulous food, always our go to place. Promote friendly service.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterStaff welcoming, good menu choice with fair prices. I enjoyed an amazing omelette & my friends chose a jacket potato which they said was very tasty. The pub/restaurant was cleaner & tables were cleaned once vacated Would definitely recommend
The Bakers Arms – IngatestoneI visit The Barn Garden Centre at least twice a week to meet friends, and I'm never disappointed. There is always a warm welcome, friendly, attentive service and excellent quality food. This visit was a breakfast visit and was as pleasant as I'd expected it to be. Good value for money in a relaxing environment, and good choice of food on menus.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterOur second visit to The Bakers Arms, for lunch, and it didn’t disappoint, all four of us really enjoyed our meals. Food was superb.
