Lunch with friends proved to a very enjoyable occasion. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu was extensive with plenty of vegetarian and fish choices and the portions were generous. We will definitely come again.
The Bakers Arms – IngatestoneFabulous Fabulous Had the slowed cooked lamb that was cooked by the chef. Have got to say that this was one of the best meals we had tasted in a long long time. The quality and tenderness of the lamb cutlets was absolutely delicious. This quality of food is rarely matched and this meal would not have gone out of place in such eating establishments such as the Ivy and Le Caprice Restaurants

It was sublime and beautifully presented. As always, the staff were welcoming, warm & friendly which all made for a lovely relaxing atmosphere, and we really enjoyed the whole dining experience.

We had the restaurant and the outside patio area which was beautiful with lots of shade as it was a hot day. Everything was perfect the staff were very attentive and helpful the food was outstanding- the whole thing couldn’t have been better. We had a local guy who sang for a couple of hours he was great - picked by Tom Jones on The Voice. Thank you Jane for making the whole thing happen we had the best time.

Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendAs a vegetarian visiting the area I was very happy to have stumbled upon Stoked….and it didn’t disappoint. So refreshing to find plant based food that’s been thought about rather than the bog standard fare that I could cook better at home. When I go out to eat I want something delicious that I don’t cook for myself and that’s what we got. The meat eaters in our group agreed. Service and ambiance superb, relaxed but attentive, cosy but private and then there’s the cocktails…made to your specific taste. Service and attention to detail, like this, is hard to come by, it was a culinary experience at a very affordable price. We love, love, loved it and our only regret is that we don’t live closer!

My husband had the pie and said it was one of the best he’s tasted. We had no room for a dessert unfortunately. All the staff were very friendly. We will definitely return.

The meat was tasty and tender, the sauce had a nice hint of citrus and the portion size was ideal for a lunchtime treat. Our waitress was attentive. All in all a very pleasant lunchtime.
