Great Roast Turkey for Sunday lunch
The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordBrought 2 friends who were staying with us, for breakfast. My husband and I regularly eat here so already know how excellent the whole experience is. Our friends were completely blown away by the friendly, competent service, the lovely setting and relaxing environment and the selection and quality of the food received. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. You couldn't fault it.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterSaturday lunch, absolutely delicious, couldn't fault a thing.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterI arranged a surprise bday gathering for my wife and the Brick House team were extremely accommodating, Kieran was proactive in responding to our emails and could fault service one bit. The food for all our group was superb, me and my wife had the full rack of ribs and can say hands down it was the best rack we have had in many years, and the burgers were just amazing. Absolutely enjoyed our day and would certainly be going back for our bbq food fix. Thank you brick house team.
Brickhouse – SouthendWho ever your chef is you need to keep hold of them….Best Breakfast my Wife and I have ever had. Lady who served us was lovely too and so were the plants we bought after Breakfast. We will be back as will lots of other people judging by the comments we overheard.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterAnother lovely relaxing lunchtime
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterGreat food, atmosphere, and service
Grumpys Diner – SouthendWe ordered ceasar salad pizza & fries, the fries were amazing the pizza was good too but the ceasar salad were not as good as last years ones they were smaller and chicken was cheap with no flavour for the price£15.staff friendly & as always outside was lovely.
The Owl – LoughtonVisited with two friends for lunch. The cafe's decor is very stylish and makes for a lovely setting. The service was brilliant, we couldn't fault it. Good choice of food and on the whole, we enjoyed what we ordered (coffee and walnut cake was a little dry though). We thought the menu was a little pricey though. However, I look forward to visiting again in the future.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterHad a great afternoon at The Owl for Father’s Day with my family and our dog. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Menu options were great, service was brilliant and even had a dog menu for our pooch. Lots of space outside and inside. Will definitely be back.
The Owl – LoughtonI booked the owl for my husband’s birthday lunch and my parents came with us, my parents each had the fish and chips and my husband and I the Korean bbq half chicken. The portions were large but very good. We sat outside because it was a nice day but we’re sheltered by the lovely old trees. All staff were really friendly and helpful. The water otter is still there!
The Owl – LoughtonWonderful Sunday lunch, excellent menu, delicious food and fabulous service. Spacious and comfortable outside eating areas. Thank-you! We recommend and will be back again.
The Bakers Arms – IngatestoneThe food (roast dinner) was not nice at all. Which is a shame as the reviews were very good for this place, it came out after an hour which is fine because it was busy but when it arrived it was cold, the potatoes were impossible to cut and it was just so dry.
The Owl – LoughtonFood was delicious and very filling. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a nice compact restaurant and enjoyed my meal 100%
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendWe came for Father’s Day lunch on Sunday and it was the best dining experience we’ve had. The staff were so friendly and kind. We had roast beef and a roast turkey that was delicious. The chef even gave my dog some turkey in his own pot :). The kids enjoyed their dinners and it was very relaxed. Thank you all, we will be back :)
The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordThe food was great but service disappointing as we had to chase for our drinks and food.
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterLove love love this pub, never disappoints whether you go for food or a few drinks. Lovely garden too
The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordCame for a meal on Father’s Day - service wasn’t too bad considering how busy it was. Three of us had roasts and all felt the green veg was raw and inedible. The potatoes had an almost impenetrable shell, as if they’d been kept warm a very long time. The meat was ok but not sure I’d return for a roast. One of us had a meal with chips and they were the happiest, so that’s probably the way to go. Really did enjoy how dog friendly is it, and the dog menu is a lovely touch. Dog enjoyed his meal very much.
