Great as always

Staff were mostly nice and food was decent. Unfortunately, we were sat in close proximity to two obnoxious guests who took issue when our dog barked-making rude comments and staring at my wife . They were also very loud, using foul language regularly and generally hating on people . This experience made us uncomfortable for the duration of our meal. For clarity, I didn’t complain to staff. But as one (a young man) had made a dismissive comment about our dog along with the 2 guests when we entered, i didn’t feel confident in doing so.

Myself and my son went to the Basildon spoon world buffet and bar on Friday night the 6th of march and after an hour and only eating a couple of plates of food each we left the restaurant only to violently throw up shortly after and continued to through out the night,I did notice that some of the chicken looked under cooked and avoided those dishes but it seems all of the chicken was under cooked and myself and my son ended up in hospital with severe food poisoning AVOID THIS PLACE

From the time of arrival to the time we left the service was of a high standard throughout . The food was very enjoyable and beautifully prepared and served quickly. A good morning breakfast was enjoyed by all. Thanks.

Lovely cafe to visit. Great coffee, my only criticism is my fruit scone was a game of hunt the fruit.

Lovely food as usual -roast dinners had beef and lamb -all meals were plentiful and tasty with great service -would like to have had a dessert but couldn’t manage it -even had some great treats for our dog

Lovely food, bit more knowledge on wine would be good, also got asked if we would like dessert menu then had to get it myself. Atmosphere was ok, sometimes was quite loud, couldn't hear my friend talking. Would come back though

Great big thumbs up! 4 of us had a great meal and the service from Sam our server was just as good! We all had burgers and fries and 3 of us even managed a milkshake! Huge portions and great value. Good fun, great atmosphere with all the memorabilia. A good menu offering lots of choice. Haven’t been for a while but we will go again soon.

Lovely cosy traditional pub. Food was very nice although potatoes left an aftertaste but that could just be me. Would rather not have food all piled on top of each other but all in all a very nice lunch.

We very much enjoyed our Sunday Roast ,we found out too late that we could have had a smaller plate portion, we were all unable to finish our plate,all being very elderly, The vegetables were very fresh would be nice to have a small dish of cauliflower cheese added within in the roast, we paid extra to have this as it is a favourite and that was lovely,the beef was a bit hard to cut but delicious,we usually like dessert but we were too full, We look forward to our next treat.

We had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and helpful. Definitely we go again.
