Roedean is my husband and I's favourite restaurant - usually saved for special occasions. We have been going there for the last 3 years. The restaurant is family owned and the care and attention that goes into the menu planning, quality of food, staff and atmosphere is clear to see. We have never had a disappointing meal. On every single occasion I have ever been I always have the 'speciality' Creme Brulee for desert - I have never tasted a better one!
Rodean – ExeterFour of us ate on a Friday evening in the restaurant, rather than the bar. The slightly dated decor did not detract from what was a superb meal. Presentation is excellent but quality and taste are not neglected. Portions are adequate, though a slightly larger vegetable dish would have been nice. The choice is plentiful, with more dishes on the chalkboard. Service was good with staff attentive and knowledgeable. Highlight for me was the citrus dessert selection - 4 mini desserts in one at a bargain price! As far as prices are concerned, think of the Jack as a restaurant, rather than a pub and consider the cost reasonable in relation to the quality of the fare. Excellent!
Jack In The Green Inn – ExeterI don't think this can be beaten for good, fresh, well-prepared pub grub. The spicy chicken skillet was very good, and my partner had fresh fish - well cooked and very tasty. A friendly family-type atmosphere.
The Lamb Inn – ExeterThe Atmospheric offered a friendly, relaxed atmosphere for our family meal. The children played in the very secure beer garden with the Bernese mountain dog 'Zoe' whilst we sampled gorgeous ales. The meals we had were all home cooked and very large (no chance of fitting in a pudding!), exceptional value and I would recommend it to all my friends.

Mexican, The – ExeterThe meal was more of a modern pub lunch. it maintained the ideals of a typical smart pub location but in addition offered fine food, of which was in good quantity.
Barn Owl, The – ExeterHaving just visited relatives in Exeter, I have returned to Denver, USA. This place really was home from home, the food the service and the cocktails were fab. They certainly made sure I had a nice day. When I am next in Exeter I will return to Starz.
Starz Bar and Restaurant – ExeterI have just recently sampled the utter delight that is Donato's -I would highly recommend this as an elegant restaurant that is suitable for all ages!

ASK – ExeterThis is quite a small place but they say good things come in small packages. The food here has been very good on the occasions that i have eaten here. You have to try the garlic bread - its the best!! Well worth the travel outside of Exeter
Manor Inn – ExeterI have visited this restaurant on two separate occasions over the last year and on both occasions have had an excellent meal. Whilst it was busy on both occasions and the service suffered at times, the staff, once "cornered" were helpful and cheerful, and coped well with the pressure. The ambiance is a bit cold and can be noisy, but apart from that minor qibble, its location in several rooms of an old building overlooking the cathedral is unusual and interesting. In summary, not a place to go if you are in a hurry, or want a quiet candlelit dinner for 2, but the food more than makes up for it - definitely the best pizzas I have tasted in Exeter. We will be going back !
ASK – ExeterWas lucky enough to arrange a 40th birthday party here - we really couldn't have asked for more in every respect. Our guests came from all over including France and without exception they absolutely loved the place. Can't wait to return for a more intimate dinner.

Rodean – ExeterEvery time I visit Zizzi's I find something else to love about it... this time it was the willingness to do anything to make my sisters 18th meal out a great success. Nothing was a problem and the staff were a treat. It is so rare to go out be served by people who genuinely seem to enjoy being there and to actually take part in conversations and make us laugh rather than dragging their feet off and moaning... The food was perfect, even the simplest dishes are given the utmost care and attention. I have never found a dish that I thought could have been better and the portions are amazing... My favourite dish would have to be the Clarissa... Admittedly i could go on about this place for ever... I love it
