A lovely experience in an elegant setting.

From arrival to leaving we were treated impeccably. The service was top notch and the food delicious. My friend is gluten free and her afternoon tea was also perfect. The setting is lovely and we got to go round the hall after. The volunteers in each part of the building are so engaging and knowledgable. Had a wonderful time and will recommend to friends and family

A lovely afternoon tea. Although I appreciate this lovely Georgian building , I did find the room a little dark and fusty feeling. The service was very attentive. The quality of food was good although the scone a little disappointing and I felt fresh clotted cream rather than long life in a jar would have been preferred.

Afternoon tea had lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes and the warm scones are delicious. The settings are beautiful and you were made to feel very special, the service was excellent especially Simon who is so attentive. Good value for money, I have been before and will be returning again.

Visited last night with friends, we all agreed it was the best pizza we’d eaten for a long time! The staff were friendly and attentive too. An all round great experience for our first visit here, we will be back! Thank you Stefanis

Service was good and staff attentive. Food was mediocre at best. Frozen corn, ‘hot dog’ that was more soggy than snap and chicken that was dry and tasteless. For a smokehouse the meat was poor. The one saving grace was kids ate for £1 or else I would have expected some meals to be credited onto the bill.

Been very good for many years. Under new management most things have improved further, the food and service excellent. Inevitability prices have increased, but are still competitive .

We (4 of us) enjoyed afternoon tea on Tuesday 25th Ju!y. It was a glorious afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, both the food and the Prosecco! Ably served by Simon we thought he made a huge contribution to the success of the afternoon. John and I (Janice) will be back again without a doubt but Susan and Brian, living in York, won't be able to. Here's to the next time! John and Janice Ryle

Fantastic afternoon tea . Perfect balance of savoury ( some warm) and sweet . I love that the sweet choice is not all cake as well . Deliberately selected the Sunday for Sunday roast inspired . Wonderful setting and lovely friendly staff. Thank you very much . This is my second visit but my 2 friends were there for the first time .

Came to celebrate 60th birthdays and the attention to detail was spot on & Simon was the perfect host. The afternoon tea was a good mix of savoury & sweet ,all freshly made. The vegetarian option was also well catered for. We would definitely recommend & hopefully come back to look around the hall.

Enjoyable Sunday Lunch. Only faults, no mash and beef cut very thin.
