Taste – Thornton-CleveleysThe Perfect Sunday Lunch.at the glendower Hotel restaurant. My Husband and I visited for Sunday lunch. The Food was excellent..the service first class.the price good. what more to make the perfect way to spend Sunday Lunch.
Coast Brasserie @ The Glendower Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaLove this restaurant. Excellent food, well presented without being pretentious. We eat here regularly, anything from a simple pasta or pizza through to a 'special occasion' celebration and we've never been disappointed. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the wine list caters to every pocket. They have recently started opening on Sunday lunchtimes with a 5 course menu on offer which we've yet to try.
Novello – LythamWent to this restaurant last Saturday, not at all impressed pricey for the amount of food we received, food seemed to be slapped on the plate. We all had starters and as i am not a big eater i ordered a chicken tikka starter as my main course to have chips with, the tikka was on a small plate and wasn't at all nice
Sunam Tandoori – BisphamI went to the restaurant last week only to find there are new owners.I have been going to this restaurant for 10 yrs.I have to say the meal was not very good .The dips with the poppadoms were watered down and tasteless. The onions were dry with mint instead of the usual red sauce.I ordered a Vegetable Dansak and the veg was taken from a frozen bag it was just as if they had tipped it out into a sauce. The only time I have experienced this before was in Spain when they said it was because the veg does not keep over there.I don't understand why they cant use fresh veg as they should also be using it in other dishes.I visit a Indian restaurant near the airport and that is fantastic I just hope the standards are not slipping in Bispham as the staff are lovely and it would be a shame to not visit again.
Sunam Tandoori – BisphamI agree with the comments. It's a great place - food and service is excellent and price compared to other Italians restaurants in Poulton is very reasonable. I've been several times and also ordered take away. I love the buzz and the atmosphere and would definitely recommend to friends.
Pulci Pizza – Poulton-Le-Fyldehaving just picked up my partner's new car on saturday 17th sept we were looking around for a place to eat and passed this place on our wanderings. The decor was very modern and welcoming as were the staff, particularly the landlord and his partner. Having become accustomed to expecting very average but ok food from many pubs, I was delighted to find the sirloin steak dinner I ordered was cooked to perfection and more than worth the £7 or so it cost. A good thick piece of meat that had been cooked correctly and just melted in the mouth... even the small rump steak my partner went for as part of her turf-surf-turf platter was tender and cooked exactly as it should. We finished with what can only be described as a glass 'bucket' of hot brownie and ice cream and raspberries, topped with whipped cream, various cadbury bits and bobs and a curley-wurley... it beat the two of us and could probably serve four after the main course portions, hahaha - lovely place for a cheap lunch and friendly atmosphere... give it a try ;~)
Blossoms Ember Inns, The – LythamBe impressed at the Empress Grill Room. Superb surroundings, you could be a million miles from Blackpool, which is where we usually eat!!! Excellent service, Excellent food. Limited menu but hopefully that will change when more people find out about this little gem in one of Blackpool bigger gem's
Empress Grill Room – BlackpoolThis place is a gem! Cozy and friendly atmosphere, with a tasty menu. Superb wings and ribs, along with the best carbonara on the coast. It is a must to try Olivers, a truly fantastic restaurant that does not blow the budget. Oh yes, don't forget to try the sticky toffee desert, with home made ice cream, amazing!
Olivers – St. Annes-On-SeaThe best place to go is Go Greek! It has really set the standards for others to follow in Layton. The service is fantastic and you are made to feel as if you are actually in Greece. I love it my friends love it and I am never stuck when it comes to lunch or celebrating birthdays! Very reasonably priced and as a vegetarian I feel they cater for every one - well done Glenda and Spiros we love you!
Go Greek – BlackpoolBest Indian by far, clean friendly and most important the food fantastic thanks Dilraj
The Dilraj – St. Annes-On-SeaWasn't happy with the waiting time for food (40 mins while sat at the table and 15 mins sat in the pub area waiting for the table. Wasn't that busy, even the couple next to us asked how long we had waited) Had food better food from the take away bar in B&Q opposite and that's just a burger bar. Most of the staff was pleasant tho. Lovely looking inside but food, waiting times and the price let things down. Can't see myself going again and shall be tell friends not to bother (which some had already said don't go there after i there after i had told them I've been there)
Plum Tree Farm – Blackpooljust had the fish and chips have to say it was excellent!
New Norbreck Fish and Chips – Thornton-CleveleysWe stay at the norbreck castle hotel around four tines a year for a couple of nights. We always come here to eat on one of the nights. It is clean, the service is great and the food is always fresh and tasty. We would recommend it to anyone, which is saying something considering my husband is a chef.
New Norbreck Fish and Chips – Thornton-CleveleysWe had a lovely tasty delicious meal here. Good value too. Will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
The Sparling Barton – Garstangmy boyfriend and I go there at least twice a week for lunch. food is great. today my boyfriend and I witnessed a baby falling off the highchair at the cafe. not one person that worked there went to check on the baby!nor did they apologise. we couldn't believe it. a few minutes after after the accident the waitress went to the family and asked to take their order! for.god sake give the mum time to console her child!! the manager went to check the highchairs and weren't even fastened correctly! basically just to warn all parents don't put your kids in their highchairs, they aren't safe!!
Maddisons – Bisphampopped in with my girlfriend as we were coming back from a morning at the gym/pool for some hearty grub based on the banner outside offering a very cheap 2-for-1 deal..... when the food arrived it became obvious why it was so cheap. I know you shouldn't expect too much when the price is so low but had I gone to Morrison's and bought the ingredients for my chicken in 'italian' herb and tomato sauce I would have done it cheaper and to a much higher standard - it was out of the freezer, pre-prepared sub-school dinner standard dross..... 2/10 just because they get a point for it being speedily delivered (although microwaves help here I think) and the food was hot and the service friendly.... spend a little extra and go to Thornton Lodge or the Grill Room at The Venue instead...
