I booked a table through Sugarvine for this restaurant and had a confirmation email back. The place was closed when we arrived so we had to go elsewhere. That was over a week ago and I had hoped that during that time I would have had an emailed explanation of why they couldn't fulfil my booking. In the absence of one I've decided to write to warn other potential customers to not rely on a confirmation email but to phone the restaurant for confirmation. I usually go to this place a couple of times every 3 or 4 weeks so have marked it based on those numerous visits except for Service which would have been 4/5 but is marked on this experience.

Excellent premises. Excellent food, Excellent waiting staff. My wife and I will definitely return for another meal soon.

Fabulous afternoon. The afternoon tea was excellent- loved the selection of sandwiches, cakes and desserts. The scones were served warm which was lovely too. The ladies waiting on were lovely but Simon was outstanding. He made my friends and I feel really special, was extremely attentive, and was just great. Already booked again to go with more friends.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Amazing prawn starter and main, very generous portions. Highly recommend.

Our last two visit’s both on Sundays have been of slight disappointment. Food and staff are excellent, however service on both occasions have been very slow and have had to prompt the ordering. Will not stop us returning.

We arrived for 2nd sitting on Sunday afternoon after doing a tour of the Hall. I would advise everyone to do the tour as it was excellent. We had the champagne option which was pored as soon as we sat down. The afternoon tea on a Sunday is different from mid-week and is soo good! The tables were set with the finest bone china sets. The staff were efficient and friendly.

A fabulous afternoon was had by all. The food if it at all possible was better than last year!!! Simply superb 5 stars for everything. A big thank you to the ladies who looked after us.

The food was lovely with great portion sizes. The service was really slow that was the only things that let it down. But I suppose you can’t help it.
