Reviews in Fylde Coast and Blackpool

We go to the restaurant twice a month ,but the standards are going down,and this slide should be halted. The food last Friday,when 6 of us dined, was frankly not up to the standard we come to expect. Six starters,six main courses and not one compliment says it all.

im sorry to say this is most definitely not a recommendation, as a hi life diner i eat out at least 5 times a month and never have i had such a humiliating and unbelievable experience as tonight. not being petty but having read good reviews i was surprised when on arrival we were left standing in the doorway, after approaching the barmen we were seated, the girls ordered a bottle of rose and the way the waiter poured it reminded me of diesel glugging from a can, our meals arrived quite quickly and we were amused at the quirky presentation, i was only a few mouthfuls into my meal when i spotted a hair, i pulled on it cringing as it seemed to go on forever, me and my friend both have short hair and the girls are both blonde, this hair was very long and black! I left the hair part way in the food and called the waiter over, i pointed to the hair and discretely tried to explain, his attitude was instantly hostile, he himself was not discreet and he asked how a hair could get in all our food, i explained no not all of ours just mine, there was no apology and my replacement seabass arrived shortly after, the seabass was extremely nice and i was nearing the end of my meal when i felt a crunch in my mouth, i thought I'd cracked a tooth, i searched around my plate turning over the very small piece of seabass i had left and couldn't believe when i found what looked like a piece of terracota pot, i put my head down in disbelief collected the object and again discretely approached the manager at the bar, he took the object into the kitchen, he then returned saying that it was a piece of brick and nothing of that type is in his kitchen,to which he then began very loudly accusing me of planting the hair and the piece of brick in the food to which i was astounded!! He said to me "so what do you want to do?" i replied "well im sorry i refuse to pay" to which he replied "i knew you would say that, thats what this is about" he wanted to stand and argue with me, i just gathered up my embarrassed friends and left, as he was shouting behind us, my girlfriends last words to him were "read my reviews on the internet, your disgraceful"

absolutely shocking food was frozen in the middle asked the staff and they said only one meal on menu was cooked entirely from fresh.

We get a takeaway from Chilli Balti almost every week and are never disappointed. The value for money is outstanding. The quality of the food is amazing. The service is always friendly. What I like most is that they offer "small portions" of their curry dishes, which suits me as I usually end up leaving half from other takeaways. Can strongly rec the Veg Rogan Josh, and the Chicken Shashlik!

I certainly would NOT recommend Gennars restaurant. A party of us visited an Christmas Eve 2007. We were crammed in on 2 very small tables. The place was almost deserted and there was not ONE special on the board. One starter had to be sent back due to a dirty bowl. The main courses although well presented were either smothered in a very rich artificial tasting sauce or a very watery bland sauce. The sweets came out of the freezer. The coffee was good. Very disappointing. We will not be going back. All in all a very run of the mill Italian with an old fashioned menu . Gordon Ramsey would have disapproved.

We have been to Lorezo's many many times, each time has been great, you cannot fault the food, service or the decor, we will definitely keep going back - in fact this week The variety of food is great not sure that we have had the same thing twice as there is so much variety - if it is on the special board and you fancy it, have it, it will be a long time, if ever, before it is back again.

The Bell and Bottle is now a Marstons 'Two for One' restaurant / pub and in January 2008 underwent a total refurbishment. It now has a large car park, and has nice modern decor. There are a choice of tables, sofas and outside seating. Sadly the meals are not at all great - the Sunday Roasts are watery and lack taste, and the various chicken dishes are bland, although I do recommend the Swordfish meal. If you want a better tasting meal and are prepared to pay a higher price, Salvatore's Italian is about 50 metres further up the road (the old Highgate Inn) and offers better value for true foodies!

Excellent, excellent what more can i say? From the meze starters to the traditional home made Baklava the whole Greek experience came to life. Although it was very busy we enjoyed the Greek atmosphere and were also pleased to have the opportunity to learn how to dance "The Zorba" (what fun we had!) For a little bit of Greece in a corner of St Annes we will recommend to everyone. We were so impressed we have booked for the Greek night. Can't wait for more fantastic food, plate smashing and more dancing. OPA and YAMAS!

Absolutely stunning food. I had Chicken a la creme and it was beautiful, well presented and a huge portion. My girlfriend had lemon pepper cod on leek/potato mash, again the fish was cooked perfectly and a full fillet, enormous. Well priced for the portion sizes and a cosy, friendly atmosphere. A real gem of a place.

This Caffe Nero is superb. The staff are *so* friendly and eager to please, the coffee's good, and the ambience very pleasant. I recommend it!

What a lovely evening. Without going on and on I can not fault anything. From the time we arrived to the time we left perfect, and believe me I am picky. A very wonderful gastronomic experience served by very friendly staff. If you’re looking for everything Greek this is the place for you. I will be back. (Bring on the belly dancers)

I have eaten at Dhalias kiitchen many times, Both in The Restaurant and as well as the coffee shop and I must say I can Highly recommend it. I can't believe you can get this quality of food in a garden centre. The staff are so Friendly and can't do enough for you. Hazel is a star. They also do great Theme nights. I took a party to The Burns Night They had at the end of January, what a fantastic night the food was great, Haggis was piped in. And then at the end of the meal there was a full cabaret show. We have all booked for the Country & Western night at the end of February. We also go to the wine club they run this is another good night you get to taste all different wines and they puton a speaker whom tells you about them all and they put on a hot Buffet . Keep it up. We love it

all i can say is the Yorkshire fisheries should not be missed when you go to Blackpool, been loads and always had a lovely fish tea, best ever. going in may again and will be sure to give it a visit

Chu's is just what Lytham has needed. Authentic Chinese fayre instead of the normal 'Take Away' type. Lovely people too. Well done.

Was recommended this restaurant by our driver from Manchester Airport Bill he said it was the best and well it was something not in the norm of local restaurant's have eaten at most of the Italian restaurants in the Fylde but like Bill said to us en route the ambience of the Pulcinella is something superior to other establishments.The staff are helpful and immaculate polite and professional they will stop and have a chat with you during your meal.The food is superb a slight criticism is a larger veg choice is needed but that tiny problem is trivial the food is exquisete.We tried both the house red and white both very nice.Overall a fine dinning experience.Thank you Bill for telling us about it your reports say it all and many thanks to the staff at the Pulcinella for a wonderful evening even when busy no corners were cut.10 out of 10
