i must say its one of the best place to go and have your Indian meal, i have compared the food with the other Indian restaurants such as the Mogul , red fort and the bilash but the gemma came on top, my wifes favorite dish is the murgi masala which is one of the specials but i think the masala is the best in town,the service is standard the manager is very helpful, but we miss ali from London who was a great waiter

We have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions, and as a vegetarian, unlike many restaurants, I always seem to be able to eat something different. The food is ALWAYS amazing, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Last time we visited it was my son's birthday, and after playing Happy Birthday, on came the traditional "Zorba". It was great that the staff danced and got us up too, then Stefanos the chef, came out and smashed some plates. This was such a special touch and made the evening very memorable. For something different try one of the Greek Nights. We went to the last one, and with the wonderful meze banquet and the live music, our party had a fantastic night, which is still being talked about! Stefanos you truly are a gifted chef, the best food in Lancashire! Keep up the good work, we will be back.

We celebrated my partners birthday just after it opened, i had steak which was cooked to perfection and the chips are to die for. The rest of the party ate off the Sunday Lunch menu and were equally pleased, the portions were huge. Great value for money. We visited a few times after and i must say i was a little disappointed, there was quite a wait for food and drink and when the food did arrive it was Luke warm, there seems to me there is just to many staff standing around not actually doing anything, I don't mind a wait as long as the staff are keeping me informed, instead of stood at the end of the bar talking. Overall the surroundings are beautiful and i hope the small hitch in service was just down to teething problems! Hope to see you soon

Certainly the best Restaurant ive been to for years! After hearing from alot of friends about how how good this place is we finally gave it a go and I have to say I was extremely impressed with the place, the great friendly service and fantastic food made it a perfect dining experience for me and my family. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was packed and we saw them turn people away, which just shows how good of a Resuarant it is. We got told when we were there that its now open 7 days a week which is great for us as mondays is our only day off together as a family! Well done to the Olive Tree! Yassas!

Excellent meal as always! This is the second time we have eaten here and we have never been disappointed, true to the menu 'Gets your taste buds dancing'. Definitely recommended.

Had a fab little lunch here the other week. Had the chicken and chorizo salad and my friend had the steak sandwich. Both were very well presented and the flavours were good. Also the staff are extremely attentive and couldn't do enough for us, helping us find a table, maintaining contact whilst waiting for food. Very good. Just what Blackpool needs!

I would consider myself something of an authority on kebabs having eaten them all over the world. I can assure you 95% should be avoided at all costs. The Cyprus however, make their own donners (in-house) with choice cuts of lamb, no bread or crap and they are so good they may very well change your life. Stunning !! chris

Awful ! Feels like sitting in a work canteen, food very small portions, over salted, overpriced :-( Won't be returning again.

Went to Gennars for the first time last night and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was lovely. I will definitely be going there again very soon!

The Curry Time takeaway is the sister of Michaels Indian in Thornton. Curry Time serve Indian dishes, kebabs and pizzas. The Indian currys are always fantastic, especially when accompanied with the pilau rice and very large and tasty naan bread. My favourite is the chicken dalrazia, which combines chicken, prawns and pineapple for a gorgeous tasting dish. The kebabs are huge, and come served on a round naan bread with sauce and salad. Overall, excellent food, delivery service and great value for money. Comes highly recommended.

8 of us (including 2 veggies) were looking for somewhere nice to eat out last weekend. We came across this great looking venue on the web. But unfortunately only 1 of the 15 mains was suitable for veggies. not really a great choice in this day and age. So went to Guys Thatched Hamlet instead....lovely food - great choices including many vegetarian options.

nice surroundings, but food was nowhere near up to scratch.I had The steak baguette- the bread was poor. My friend had a steak wrap- half of the wrap had no steak at all in it. When paying £6+ for it, i was expecting a little more. Also the service was poor, it took an age to serve out drinks. I ordered a Corona- but was brought a warm Peroni ( exact same thing happened to another friend on a different occasion). Peroni and Corona are not the same beer! Take a walk up to Quilligans, they will show you how to provide quality food at a reasonable price. Another sub standard town centre rip off.

Heard a lot about this restaurant so we thought we would give it a go, we were not disappointed, the food was great, it's got a great fresh feel to the place very smart.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal last night, first time eating here and it did not let us down, the food was fantastic I had the duck which was served to perfection, would highly recommend you try it out.

Would highly recommend the Eagle and Child. The menu is at the higher end of 'pub fayre' and everything we had was cooked to perfection and delicious. The service was friendly and courteous. The prices were just a little higher than chain pubs but absolutely worth the odd extra pennies for the quality of the food. We had 2 children in our party and were impressed by the kids food too. Will definitely visit again and looking forward to the warmer months when we can make use of their lovely garden and the children's playarea.

After reading the comments on this page saying how good China Red Restaurant was I decided to book a table for a party of six. We decided to order the Banquet - first we ordered drinks in the waiting area and then after a lenghty wait we were shown to our table in this large room painted in white - it did as someone commented look like a school canteen - l looked around for the table with the food but was told that the food would be served at our table - so we waited with anticipation for the food to arrive instead the staff were only interested in taking more orders for the highly priced drinks, eventually the soup arrived which tasted like hot water with a few vegetables floating on top- then followed scraggy chicken wings - more bones than meat! The rest of the food that followed was really to poor to comment about. As for calling the meal a Banquet well - l've had better meals at my local Chinese takeaway at a fraction of the price. The total price for our party came to £120 and considering most of our drinks was water - we all thought was far too expensive needless to say we certainly will not be going there again.
