Easy East – BlackpoolMy husband and I went for sunday lunch at The Villa Restaurant a few weekends ago. My husbands starter of soup of the day tasted as though it had come from a packet mix and had had a few tins of tomato added to it. My antipasti type starter was nothing special and the meat , not the best quality... The main meals were lovely but tiny and the bill was not cheap !!!!.....All in all not as good an experience as we have had there before which is a shame as it had been a treat to go on past occasions, on this occasion we felt it had not been value for money at all !!! A real shame .....In fact please sir ...Could we have had some more ?
The Villa Country House Hotel – Kirkhamabsolutely awesome! not just quality fish but the burgers are a delight, god knows how they do it, McDonald's, who:S? 1.70 for cheeseburger with the full dollops of lettuce tomatoes melted cheese , burger and topped off with a delite off tom sauce! i even got a portion of free chips! 10/10. A MUST VISIT GO NOW or MISS OUT!!!!!!!!
The Haven Fish Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaMidweek shopping in Cleveleys, what could be better than nipping into a nice friendly local pub for a spot of lunch. Spotted The Dickens Inn,perfectly placed between the two major carparks, Took my little party of 4 in, and grabbed a seat, which sometimes can be difficult for us as one member of the family uses a mobility scooter, access was easy, and there was plenty of space for us to leave the scooter near the table. Ordered food and the first course was sitting on the table piping hot within 10 minutes, giving us time to start with a drink from the good selection on the bar. Second course served just as promptly and just as hot, which is always a nice turn of events, both courses were great - tasty, hot, and more than enough for a good appetite like mine, there was however one little complaint from one of our group, who is a fussy eater, that the Margherita pizza had "real" tomatoes on the top, which I'm told is "not a proper Margherita pizza" perhaps I should have checked that when I ordered. Ok, the atmosphere in the pub was quiet and the choice of music channel on the TV's may not have been to all tastes, but overall i would wholeheartedly recommend the Dickens Inn to anyone who happens to be in cleveleys when the hunger pangs hit.
Dickens Inn – Thornton-CleveleysMy party had a great night at the Dalmeny last week. I had an excellent steak with a good hearty red wine. The musician Ian Hooper made the night memorable too. The only negative was a very young waiter who when asked what the bread was on offer, replied "I dunno". A little bit of training goes a long way.
Dalmeny Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaI visited the Olive Tree with my family and really could not fault on anything! The meals were cooked perfectly, followed by a delicious homemade Greek Baklava dessert. We enjoyed a lovely relaxed atmosphere with traditional Greek music playing and everything was served with a smile! I've recommended it to friends and will definitely be returning soon, I look forward to trying a 'Souvlaki Sunday'. Once again I could not fault it, the service, the atmosphere, the food, the staff.. all certainly tiptop!
Olive Tree Brasserie – St. Annes-On-Seafantastic atmosphere, relaxed and friendly family run business. The food was to die for, and i would recommend it to any visitors coming to the Lytham St. annes
Fancy That – Lythamwent for the first time on a monday evening, was surprised to see the place was quite busy, but now i know why!! The food was excellent, but above all the service was second to none- very very impressed. I will be back
Buraq – KirkhamAs regulars at this restaurant I can honestly say it is the best in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is superb. Prices are reasonable and the complimentary drinks cap the night off nicely.
Gemma Indian Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaI recommend chilli balti for the standard of cooking and extensive and varied menu, both of which are superb , also the friendliness and courtesy of the staff who always welcome us with a warm handshake and a smile , I have been using this establishment for 3 years and not once have we had a bad meal everything is cooked to perfection . we do not have to wait too long either in the shop or for a home delivery which is always delivered piping hot , HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!
Chilli Balti – FleetwoodWe live locally so use Barnacle Bills on a regular basis. One of the best pieces of fish in the business. This is what a local chip shop should be like.
Barnacle Bills – FreckletonYummies take away sandwich shop in Albert Street, Blackpool, don't ever complain if they get your order wrong because the attitude is disgraceful. Won't be using this take away service again!!
Yummies – BlackpoolI went here with the members of the Pendle Stroke group and had a fantastic time, the staff couldn't have done more for us! There were fifteen of us and everything went swimmingly. food and atmosphere were great. All of us will definitely be returning.
Dickens Inn – Thornton-CleveleysThis is an absolutely fantastic restaurant. The service is always fantastic, and the food is out of this world. I can't fault it!
Paramount Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolSaturday was our first visit to the restaurant and we were very impressed. We enjoyed dinner in a lovely, unhurried, relaxing atmosphere. The Greek music was great and the food was excellent. It's a pity we live in Yorkshire as we would love our friends to savour the experience. Well done to all concerned in creating this successful brasserie. We will be back.
Olive Tree Brasserie – St. Annes-On-SeaIgnoring the flies crawling over the food in the display cabinet, and the sickeningly unclean toilet, this is without question the worst cafe me and my gf have ever visited. We stuck to a basic choice of bacon sarnie and egg sarnie after seeing the state of the place, it was truly vile I didn't think it was possible to get such basic food so wrong. Dripping with greasy black crusty bits from a pan that obviously hadn't been cleaned properly, both items were barely cooked and plain disgusting. We left feeling ill and will not be returning to this dump.
Mermaid Cafe – BlackpoolHave been going here for years and is by far the best Indian restaurant on the Fylde Coast. The staff are very friendly and the service excellent.
Bilash Balti – St. Annes-On-SeaFAB fish and chips - great value and really clean. Quick service and right opposite the south pier so easy to find!
