Treasure City Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolWe had a wonderful meal there on Valentines Day. The food was exceptional and we were very impressed with the service! (My husband is incredibly fussy and even HE didn't find fault with anything) - It was lovely to be welcomed with a glass of champagne (speciality of Valentines Day) and a friendly smile. We would recommend to anyone and will return in the future without a doubt. Congratulations on being open 2 years!!
Pipers – GarstangStaying in Blackpool for a few days and chose this Indian, after using this and seeing others recommendations. The 4 course set meal is now £9.99 not £8 as detailed on here but it is still great value. We had 2 children and 2 kids in our party and including 2 lots of drinks, we spent £40. We could not finish it all, so shows the great value. Staff were very friendly, though our waiters English was not the best but if you are in the Blackpool area...give this place a go.
Gemma Indian Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWe booked a table for two for Valentines night. When I called to book we where offered either 18:30 or 21:00. I opted for 21:00 only to turn up and join the end of a queue of about 15 people. I had to stand outside in the cold with my girlfriend. Everybody else in the queue, in front and behind, had booked for 21:00. No member of staff even came to talk to us to explain the situation. After waiting 20mins we decided to go over the road to eat in the Bay Horse pub. Funnily enough there where a number of people there whom had done exactly the same thing. I spoke to people who had booked for 20:00, only to wait 30 mins and eventually give up. It is an absolute disgrace that this happened. Greedy is all I can say about Mimmo's. They ruined Valentines night for me and many others.
Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant – Thornton-CleveleysWent to the Mayflower on Valentines evening. The food was good but the service very very poor. The food came before the plates. There was a long wait between courses. The drinks ordered were wrong. The manager was the busiest member of staff, running round like an headless chicken, unfortunately he also smelt strongly of B.O. I would not recommend the restaurant on my visit. I should have complained at the time. Other couples also looked unhappy at the service
Easy East – BlackpoolBeautiful place to eat! Style and decor top class. Food fab! Best Indian restaurant in Blackpool.
Leeraj Indian Cuisine – BlackpoolI have to admit that Rigbys is one of the best hidden gems for good honest food. It is well priced and has a lovely atmosphere. You are made welcome from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, but be warned if you don't have a huge appetite don't have a starter before the mixed grill. It has to be tried as well as the duck which has always been cooked to perfection and served with seasonal veg and two types of potatoes. Would recommend it to everyone once you have been you cant help yourself going back again and again.

Trafalgar Restaurant – FleetwoodMy Wife and I had read all the great reviews on SugarVine for Buraq and had been informed by a few people locally how good it was. We use a number of Indian restaurants on the Fylde coast and on occasion, further a field, so were keen to give it a go. We decided to initially try their seemingly excellent deal of "£9.95 Eat as much as you like buffet" as this is an option between 1.00pm and 6.30pm on a Sunday. We were met at the door with a pleasant smiling face and showed to a seat in their fairly large waiting area near the bar. we were provided with both the standard menu and the buffet menu and asked for a drinks order straight away. Indian beer lovers should note that at the time of writing this, they serve both Cobra and Kingfisher on draft, and it is under £3 a pint - which is as cheap as most places do it in 330ml bottles. It was fairly quiet (no really a surprise for a Sunday, it's not really a traditional Sunday lunch is it), just a few other couples in, and we were shown to our table almost immediately. The surroundings were good, I would suggest the nicest Indian I have been in, and a nice view of their clean, tidy, landscaped rear garden. The linen (proper linen) was all clean and tidy, the cutlery of good quality. It appears the buffet may change weekly, as ours was headed "Week 6" and it was indeed the 6th week of the year. Our starters (you get everything on the buffet menu, you don't have to choose) were Garlick Tikka Chicken, Seekh kebab and a Samosa, served with the normal tray of pickles you would get with poppadums. We finished them in no time flat, the chicken being especially good. We were offered more, and accepted! The only minor complaint here was that the seekh kebab was almost cold, it had been perfectly cooked through and as these are like koftas, they can be served cold, I don't think it was meant to be, but it didn't mar our starters in any way, they were great. My wife also asked for a poppadom to go with the pickle tray, this did not feature on the bill at the end. Our main courses came in approximately soup sized bowls, Chilli Chicken and a Lamb Passanda, accompanied by one plate of Chicken Biriyani, which was like a spiced chicken fried pilau rice. This was a sensible addition to the courses as it negated needing a separate order of rice! The main meals were served with a side order of spiced vegetables and a garlic chapatti. We could have ordered more of any of the dishes, but certainly didn't need to after two starters. The food was excellent, my wife couldn't get enough of the passanda, but she does have a sweet tooth. We were given some mints and a choice of tea or coffee, and while waiting for the bill, we were asked what we would like as a complimentary drink on the house. I have no idea if this is standard practice for every customer (though I note that it has been mentioned on sugarvine previously), just on your first visit maybe, or if it happens every time - nonetheless, it was a nice and welcome touch, as was the carafe of iced water on the table without request. This was certainly the best quality of food and best service I have had in any Indian restaurant in probably 20 years of going to them. We can both thoroughly recommend Buraq. I mentioned earlier that an Indian meal is not a traditional Sunday Lunch in the UK, well with quality, quantity and value for money that Buraq offers, it may well become one! (at least for us!). Full marks 10/10!
Buraq – KirkhamI would highly recommend the food here. I travel Thailand and this is as close to authentic as you could wish for (and the portions are more than generous). Other Thai restaurants in town are charging inflated prices, but not here. Lovely food at the right price, thanks
Sabai Sabai Thai Restaurant – BlackpoolWe had a great meal at san marcos new location (the old booths on lytham rd) Would fully recommend this place. A fantastic meal with a fantastic price tag A1+ will be going again soon
San Marcos – BlackpoolI visited G Casino on Saturday 31 January 2009. We were celebrating my sister's 40th birthday. What a fab night! 3 course meal, glass of bubbly, £10 to play on the tables and tuition before we were let loose on the tables. £25 each for all that! Unbelievable. Superb food. The staff had decorated the table with balloons & table confetti. There was live entertainment in the bar later on which was also excellent. First class attention to detail from booking to leaving. They've even got ' car jockeys ' that will go & fetch your car!
Grosvenor Casino Blackpool – BlackpoolFantastic value for money, food is excellent, surroundings are clean and modern. The staff are friendly and attentive. I had my birthday party there and it was great. Lisa the manager cant do enough to help. Cheers Toast.
Toast Cafe Bar and Grill Restaurant – BlackpoolMy Wife, Father-in-Law and I visited LdV for the second time last Friday evening. We had been a couple of weeks prior for the standard menu, but wanted to trial the early bird. We booked for 6.45pm and were pleased that there were only two other tables occupied when we arrived (it soon filled up though). The waitress was attentive and we were asked if everything was alright after each course and also just after our main course was served. I had the meatballs as a starter which were very good, followed by the pork (Maiale alla Crema) with garlic, cream and white wine. It was excellent and came with a good side selection of vegetables, cooked al dente not soft (thank goodness). Both of my family made their own pizzas up from the menu and were both happy with them, the base being fresh stone baked (which they prefer). I was a little disappointed that LdV had not updated their website as the early bird menu on it did have a few more choices for starters and main than were available on the night in the menu - I had really fancied trying the Chicken (Pollo alla Diavola). It might be worth checking with them when you book what is on the menu if you specifically want something. Similarly, the starter my wife had picked prior to us going was also not on the menu. The sweet menu is extensive, but for the early bird there is a choice of about four, we all opted for the tiramisu and it was light and refreshing, not stodgy. All in all, the early bird was good value for money, the food was all well prepared and presented. We will certainly go again and would recommend it to anyone.
