Having travelled extensively in South East Asia and lived in Thailand itself for 3 months I would like to consider myself a bit of an expert in Thai food. I have eaten at the Mews a number of times since returning home to Poulton and have never once left unimpressed. The food is not pretending to be authentic as a lot Asian restaurants are, it IS authentic. Its just like the food is in Thailand, all be it with much larger portions!! The people who have posted links claiming the service was slow should take a moment to think about what they are complaining about. Would you rather go to a restaurant and have a green curry poured out of a large pan re heated and rushed out to your table or would you rather go to a restaurant and wait a little longer and have a brilliant freshly prepared meal? I know what i would rather have. Of course you sometimes have to wait and if your going to a small restaurant like that on a busy Saturday night you are bound to have to wait longer for your food. You need to just do the "Thai thing" and kick back enjoy your surroundings and sink a few ice cold Singha's whilst you wait. This place really is a gem and i'm so glad that it is on my doorstep!
