We had our staff Xmas night out in Feb and the whole evening was excellent. The chef Darren was very obliging and his assistants were very polite and nice. We especially enjoyed the piano music in the back ground. Later we enjoyed the hospitality of the manager Max (lovely Man). We'll be back on our next function

This has got to be the best chippy in Blackpool. You will be amazed at the varied selection of choice they offer. All the food is freshly cooked. I will never use another chippy again.

First impressions were excellent. Comfortable surroundings, with a high standard of decor. Service was unfussy allowing the diners to converse and eat their food at a leisurely pace. Food was extremely well presented and the quality was of that to match. I personally will go back to this restaurant in the very near future. I found the experience and professionalism just to my liking.

It's common to visit a Chinese restaurant or even collect a takeaway and munch through the meal with a feeling of unfulfillingness. Bland sauces and too little chilli catering for the English palette. Not so at Mr Chow's! This is excellent Chinese food cooked and prepared for full taste and flavour. The meat and seafood is clearly fully marinated and the best ingredients and stock seem to lift the sauces way above the norm. We visited this restaurant from work recently with a party of 10 and were all well satisfied.

The ship is a lovely place, very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to any one. Owners very nice and staffs service was outstanding. I will definitely go again.

Went to stay at alohahotel in Blackpool for a fab week had lovely food in the promenade cafe good clean eatery not your usual greasy spoon good service owner very friendly if snack needed in day a very good menu lots of choice all in all a great week

although a new restaurant, it was very clear from the cheery staff and lovely atmosphere that it was going to be an excellent meal. i have eaten at the villa many times before which is where Mr Piper has come from. the food was excellent, very filling and extremely tasty. i thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the meal and will definitely be visiting there again. Excellent reports.

What a treat to be found. Tucked away at the rear of Blackpool close to the bus station, is a hidden gem of a fish and chippy. Upon entering i felt as though id fallen back in time, With the faux wood wall panelling and old school banquettes. The fish and chips was excellent. The cod succulent and the batter crispy. The attentiveness of the staff and the speed of service was second to none. Thanks Yorkshire fisheries for a truly memorable lunch

We often go to the Red Lion. The kids enjoy the food and its ok service as well. You need to book to get a table Sat/ Sun.

My husband and I loved Chinese food and have dined in most of the Chinese restaurants around the fylde apart from this one, as we don't like going to Blackpool centre at night. What a mistake!! This is by far superior to any other chinese around. We were genuinely surprised by the quality of the food and wine served. We had steamed scallops, salt and chilli squid, crispy duck and chilli beef and every single dish was fantastic! As to the wine, again we can't believe this small restaurant have such a well selected wine list (as most chinese restaurant don't, sorry if i upset anyone) and we washed down our food with a great bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Just wish we read the sugarvine reviews and found this restaurant earlier!

The food here is top notch. We have had buffet and set course meal, both are outstanding! the starters on buffet are the best i have tasted anywhere. (try the samosa) Good value for money here and the staff are great.

I have frequented Jacks for many years and have always received a pleasant welcome. The food has always been excellent and the staff show a willingness to please. I find the menu's give a good variety of choice and personal requests are always met for any adaptations to these. I have enjoyed quiet meals with friends and also themed nights held and have enjoyed them all. The management and staff are very approachable and create a relaxed atmosphere.

I think that this restaurant has an amazing variety of food. The actual food itself is amazing. I am only 14, so I like to go for the milder things, i.e. Korma's, and Chicken Tikka Massala. I think that this food is amazing.

The restaurant is no longer a Beefeater. The prices are now slightly lower although the food is very similar. Steak and chips and a big ice cream sundae for dessert. Yummy. Staff are really friendly and I like the help-yourself salad bar. Just don't have a big starter or you'll struggle to get through it all!

We spent New Years Eve at Jacks it was the best New Years Eve we have had the food & atmosphere was amazing! The duo that entertained were excellent so much so that once the meal was completed the whole Bistro was up dancing including Keith & Jeanette!! Needless to say we have booked for next New Years Eve. Thank you to Keith & all his staff for a memorable night, x

Fantastic doorstop toasties, great staff and very friendly. Now open Saturdays which is even better.
