Thornton Lodge – Thornton-CleveleysSince our first visit in 2007,we have been numerous times and the food is always the same excellent standard.
Thornton Fisheries – Thornton-CleveleysOnce again we have celebrated our anniversary here with friends. We have had the buffet and the banquet. Second to none in a warm pleasant atmosphere.
Treasure City Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolLovely meal everything was perfect so glad our cheeky hunky rude but lovable taxi driver from Liverpool Airport recommended it to us thanks Bill and thanks to all at the Pulcinella we will be back.Best restaurant anywhere in this area.
Pulcinella – Thornton-CleveleysThe Trafalgar Restaurant is one of if not the best restaurants on the Fylde Coast, with fresh food, cooked to perfection! Always a delight to walk into a warmed fill lounge where the staff greet with a smile always. Our waiter, Shane i believe was outstanding, serving me and my husband throughout the night always keen to chat, making us feel right at home.
Trafalgar Restaurant – FleetwoodI went to Chus last Saturday. I enjoyed the food and the people were really friendly. The place is cool and funky but a little cold. The wine list could be improved. All in all its well worth a visit.
Chus – LythamWhat a lovely place to dine. lovely staff lovely food , and was happy with the bill for 4 people which two had start mains soft drinks and coffee was £21.90 very impressed. :-)
Antons – St. Annes-On-SeaAntons cafe bar St Annes, i found my experience at Antons a pleasant polite environment with helpful staff that are more than willing to help you out. The food presentation was delightful and was fresh good tasting food. The atmosphere was really warming and eventful with a good music style set in the background. The decor was charming , and all this for a very reasonable prize. My Mamma Mancini Chicken Caesar salad which was more than enough and beautiful £5.odd. I was happy to pay the prize of my salad because it was the nicest caesar salad iv ever had. ! I hope the best to Antons cafe bar and all the staff.
Antons – St. Annes-On-SeaFab Fab. Visited many times and never disappointed.
Ricos Italian Restaurant – Poulton-Le-FyldeTower Fisheries offers excellent value for money. Less expensive and far better quality than others in the vicinity. Crispy chips and beautifully cooked large fish, no soggy tiddlers here! Don't go anywhere else in town!
Tower Fisheries – Blackpool12/12/07 MY PARTNER IS VEGETARIAN AND ORDERED THE CALZONE (VEGGIE OPTION STATED ON MENU)WHICH INCLUDED THE CHOICE OF 2 TOPPINGS. WHEN THE FOOD ARRIVED, THERE WAS A BOLOGNESE SAUCE ON THE CALZONE. THE WAITER TOOK IT BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND RETURNED WITH THE SAUCE SCRAPED OFF AND A TOMATO SAUCE IN ITS PLACE. YOU COULD STILL SEE BITS OF THE MEAT FROM THE BOLOGNESE SAUCE. VERY RELUCTANTLY, THE WAITER TOOK IT BACK AND A NEW ONE BROUGHT. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeStill generally good value for money, but seems like the prices keep going up whilst the portion sizes are going down. The bar is normally understaffed too...quite often just 2 people working on a massive bar, which can mean quite a long wait especially if people are ordering food.
Trawl Boat Inn – St. Annes-On-SeaStandard carvery food, pile your plate high and enjoy. At busy times can have a long wait for a table or a long queue for the food. At quiet times then the food can be hanging around a bit and go a bit dry. But generally the standard of food is really good and great value for money. Could do with labels on food to let you know whether they are suitable or not people with nut allergies, vegetarians etc.
Squirrel, The – BisphamWe love it! Every time we visit Blackpool we include a visit here. I've been coming since I was a child and have always loved the quality of the food. The fish is the best anywhere. Even better is that you can get small portions (as well as big ones) - ideal for me as I only have a small appetite and normally get put off fish and chips because the portions are too big. The price is excellent too.
Bispham Kitchen – BisphamFor only two years is been open Gennars has very strong base service and food are excellent, for sure is the place to go to experience a night like we had.
Dom’s Italian – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe dined at Twelve last night for the first time. There were 6 of us, and we had mixed feelings about it. All the starters, the Red Deer, and the Beef were thoroughly enjoyed. The Partridge was not great - at most there were 3 mouthfuls of meat on the plate, with the legs having literally no meat on them whatsoever. Less to do with it being a small bird and more to do with it not being a great cut of meat, although to be fair the meat that was there was delicious. The veg was undercooked rather then al dente. The chips were nice, and all the puddings were nice. I really enjoyed the chocolate brownie. The service was not great. We asked for a jug of water three times and it never appeared. We were tucked away in a far corner of the balcony and forgotten about. When I complained about my main course the waiter was not interested, did not apologise, and charged me the full £22 for it. On a positive note, they were very accommodating when we asked for slight changes, for example to the mash, mixing the a la carte menu with the Christmas menu etc. The bill came to a hefty £100 per couple (admittedly with wine) and I was starving hungry when we left. Given the tremendous reputation Twelve has, I have to say I was rather disappointed.
Twelve – Thornton-CleveleysI came to Taylors over the weekend, i thought it was great the best fish and chips in Blackpool!!
Taylors Fish And Chips – BlackpoolWe took 22 people for a Christmas celebration. The food was acceptable, although not a gourmet experience, however at the price of £17-50 per head very acceptable. We were seated in the private room upstairs which seemed to cause problems with the speed of service. By the time the vegetables for the main course had arrived many peoples food was cold. Drinks service for the room was poor. We ordered two glasses of red and a pint of lager - one glass of red and the lager arrived - ten minutes later the other glass of red had not arrived. On going to the bar to ask where it was I was greeted by the Chef/Patron Mr Tolley who was in his whites lounging at the bar. On stating that the bar service was poor he told me, 'we're doing our best'. When I told him that his best was obviously not good enough he suggested that I 'shove it, sideways'. I would find it impossible to recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would suggest to Mr Tolley that he should take a course in 'Customer Care' at the first opportunity.
