Beach Terrace – St. Annes-On-SeaI recently decided to try out the lytham kitchen again recently after hearing that they had been taken over by new owners, i was very surprised at the quality of the food i was served and how fast it was brought to me the lancashire hot pot was absolutely gorgeous and i will be recommending them to all my friends, everybody was really friendly and i was made to feel like i was special, not just another customer.
The Lytham Kitchen – LythamFound my way there on Sunday, boy was i happy to find it. To start i had the tomato soup with artisan mini loaves. The flavour and presentation of the soup was spot on. Although i feel the soup could of been a little bit thicker. Then for my main i went for the signature dish of oxtail pudding. The oxtail was tender the pastry divine. the mash was luxuriously buttery, the sauce i feel was of a gourmet packet variety, but still very good.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonThe quality of the food can only be described as second to none, fantastic value, such pleasant friendly surroundings, beautiful decor, and the service spot on! A perfect evening This was my first visit with my brother, I will be telling my friends and dining again, without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you so much for a lovely evening Angela
Grosvenor Casino Blackpool – BlackpoolI would recommend Cyprus its out of this world they have the best kebabs even if you don't like kebabs normally try Cyprus kebabs as they are nothing like the other kebab shops and the mayonnaise is absolutely amazing try it you will never look back
Cyprus TakeAway – Poulton-Le-FyldeGo to the tavern at least once a week. Both Landlord /landlady&staff attentive to customers, food spot on done almost every dish on menu and not one bad meal had yet.good for kids with plenty of high chairs & even a selection of toys for the younger ones.carvery also excellent give it a try you will not be disappointed.Karen & Paul Thornton
Tavern at the Mill – Thornton-CleveleysMonday 8th September, called in here for a fish tea. Service excellent, food brilliant and very reasonably priced. They do a fish tea with the usual accompaniments but they have different sized fish and prices according to size. We both had 6oz fish teas and they were excellent. On a side street off, Waterloo Road but well worth seeking out
Seafresh – BlackpoolThis is my favourite chippy in the whole country, without a doubt. The food is well priced, tastes great and is always served quickly. My girlfriend has been coming here since she was a kid, and we always go here every time we come to Blackpool. Highly recommended. Jon Clay London
Bispham Kitchen – BisphamWent on Sunday with a friend. I'll have to say it was ok/nice. Ordered a fresh orange, got concentrate. The steak baguette could of been executed better, big grisly bit. prawn skewers probably frozen by the looks of them. Venue lovely in appearance. No doubt teething problems, the location makes this place a possible goldmine. The food will have to be consistent and service attentive, for the place to make a go of it.
Toast Cafe Bar and Grill Restaurant – BlackpoolAgain probably the best fish and chippy in the area if not the country. I always have the large hake and small chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and pot of tea. speedy service, great staff. big recommendation.
Seniors – BlackpoolHad a takeaway friday night and i would have to say that it was good. The sui mai were good, 6 of them instead of the usual 4 in other chineses. The salt and pepper ribs were also very good. Then the fillet steak with black pepper sauce. All in all a very good take away. Will definitely be going back.
Great Fortune House – Thornton-CleveleysThis may seem boringly similar to my last recommendation of December 2007 but, on 7th July 2008, whilst my daughter was over from New Zealand with two of our Grandsons, we met-up with our Son, daughter-in-law and our two other Grandsons at this lovely establishment. We have no affiliation with the licensees of the Ship and nothing to gain other than we know that we can go there and now expect everything including meals, service, hospitality and cleanliness to be superb. In that we had four fairly boisterous but polite grandchildren, (whom we made certain didn't infringe upon other diners) I have to add that the unusual summer's evening being warm and sunny was more than complemented by such a lovely well kept play area for the children to enjoy whilst the older ones had a quiet drink prior to dining. Whilst all of our party enjoyed their meals, I have to say that my meal of 'Fish un Chips' was just the same - Brill. Well no, it wasn't 'Brill' - it was simply beautifully 'battered' Haddock. That'll do me! I still, as before, have to further add that a very similar, enjoyable well prepared and efficiently served meal can be obtained in my own locality of North Lancashire at the Greyhound Hotel, Halton, Lancaster or the Ship Hotel at Caton.
Ship at Elswick – Great EcclestonHello to all, I can honestly say that this restaurant cannot be beaten for flavour of its fish, It can only be because of the waters that these fish come from and that's Scotland, well known for the best fish and true flavours. I cannot understand why the fish in other restaurants normally tastes in my opinion quite bland without flavour at all, and rely on a good batter to give it that bit of flavour. So get yourself along to the Pisces and order the special priced at £4.99. including tea bread.and.butter. and peas, can't be bad. You won't regret it and certainly will be back for more.
Pisces Fish and Chips – FleetwoodThis is my favourite Italian restaurant in Blackpool, the food is always great, staff are always friendly and great value for money... 1 tip is to book as it can get very busy due to popularity!
La Fontana – BlackpoolWent there last Friday when we were over to see the lights after searching on google for Chinese buffets. Bit away from the front but really glad we made the effort. Food was gorgeous and light unlike the deep fried stodge you get at a lot of buffet restaurants. Have recommended it to loads of people and will definitely visit again. Oh and the beer was good and cheap too.
Gurkha Hotel, Restaurant and Bar – BlackpoolMy husband and I had dinner at The Trafalgar on Friday 12th of December. The food was excellent and the staff friendly. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Trafalgar Restaurant – FleetwoodOur taxi driver recommended this Restaurant to us. After our last visit to an Italian in Blackpool (which was a disaster) we were a bit apprehensive. We were pleasantly surprised by the themed interior. The place was extremely busy and we were told there would be a half hour wait. We decided to stay and we were glad we did. The food was excellent and well presented and the waiters really looked after us.
La Fontana – BlackpoolContinues to be excellent if not in a fashionable location. Very tasty and good portions. Best in Blackpool ... but don't tell anyone!
