Great as usual. always great service from the dashing Ahad and Sammy!
Red Fort – LythamEnjoyed our meal here. Had the new sausage and bean stew to start and a Romana pixzza to follow. Peroni is a great beer and the Barbera wine was tip top!
Pizza Express – LythamJust had lunch at the Castle gardens not eaten there since the revamp but it was a really nice atmosphere and I enjoyed my mixed grill, great portions and my wife enjoyed the fish and chips. Will be going back as see they have a special on sunday lunch
Castle Gardens – Poulton-Le-Fyldevery dissapointed poor
The Villa Country House Hotel – KirkhamI was in Lytham with some friends over the weekend.and was told about this place...It is a lovely restaurant , and at 7.30 on a sat night where able to get a table for 4..and it was busy. the food was lovely , and the service was ok. We asked for the bill and where about to pay, and noticed some overcharges on the bill for wine and food that we did not have..A sour taste was then left...we jumped a taxi back to our hotel , and he asked where we had been , and when we told him , he said 'I hope you checked your bill !!!' is this a case of Buyer beware...?
Portofino – LythamThe Dickens had a reputation as a "rowdy"pub so it was was with some trepidation that my family visited the Dickens for Mothers day. What a transformation!! The bar staff were smart, pleasant and attentive, even though it was very busy, nothing was too much trouble and a table was soon found and prepared for us. The thing we noticed above all was how clean the place was even though it could do with a facelift. The waitresses were very efficient and eager to please, giving our little ones an activity pack each and some crayons straight away. We ordered our food from the large and varied menu and were amazed when it arrived very quickly, all piping hot and looking superb. I cant remember the last time we had a pub meal that was so good - excellent value for money. Those little extras like fresh croutons in the soup and lemon and parsley with the fish do make a difference! The children were happy too, after finishing their meals they were presented with a bag of chocolate coins each! treasure from the shipwreck on cleveleys beach they were told!. The Dickens also has a petanque (french boules) court, the first I've seen on the Fylde Coast and we were able to borrow some boules from behind the bar and play a couple of games before we left. All in all a fabulous afternoon - we will definitely be returning. If I had to find a fault it would be the toilets but we were told they have had a serious leak under the floors and that it was in the process of being fixed so I wouldn't let that put you off.
Dickens Inn – Thornton-Cleveleyswhat a bunch of jolly old inbread kirkhamers. your all wierd and tapt. never ever go to kirkham unless you want to be beatten up and possibly killed. bunch of weak hearted weak minded people. oh and neil you stumpy arse with your pice of brainded meat you call your wife haha yes thats right dawn. oh and they never sell food just dodgy fags they brought back from spain. byee
Stable Bar – Kirkhamlike the fact that this place seems to be open all day. when I'm starving and missed lunch its just the job!
Seafarers Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaThe Cornmill rocks my socks baby!!!!!!!!! 1/2 brekky is amazing!!!!!!!!!!
Cornmill, The – Poulton-Le-Fylde6 of us dined here last night and had a great meal in one of the fylde's best hotels. I would recommend Cafe Grand!
Cafe Grand – Grand Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaFirst visit to the restaurant and will certainly be returning. Lovely to visit a restaurant where welcomed and seen to efficiently. Excellent food, freshly prepared, absolutely delicious and excellent value. Superb, thank you.
Thai by Night – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the lovely Cartford inn and i highly recommend it. The food was excellent as was the accommodation. Very friendly welcome and superb service. I thought the decor was exceptional and very tasteful yet cosy. ( a pity about our football score but we can`t blame them for that )Blackpool 5 Charlton 3 but the stay made up for that !
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonWe went for lunch for my Daughters Birthday and they decorated the table with balloons which was a nice touch. We wanted lasagna but they had run out so we choose from the burger menu. How could you spoil burger and chips! The burgers were burnt to a crisp but disguised with cheese and the frozen chips were so overdone they were hard. Sorry but this was very disappointing, the only bonus was that we didn't pay for my daughters meal as on your birthday you get your main meal FREE, I would of rather of paid for it and of been a good meal. Sorry but wont be going again.
West Coast Rock Cafe – BlackpoolMe my mum and sister went to Pulcinellas on 26.02.08, we had a lovely meal, nice wine and the service was great, we will be going back very soon, the set menu was fantastic value for money with 3 courses for £15.00. (although i didn't choose the set menu my mum and sister did) I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Pulcinella – Thornton-CleveleysThe New Holly is rapidly becoming our default venue for lunch when we are in the area. We have always found it clean and friendly with an excellent menu at reasonable prices and I like the waitress service at the table rather than rather than take the table number and go up to the bar. We've never been disappointed.
Went last Saturday night with my wife on the recommendation of our son, it's not the type of cuisine we would normally consider but am glad we did. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent if rather slow in coming which didn't bother us as we were in no hurry. Will definitely go again!
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamThis is actually a criticism rather than a recommendation. My husband, Daughter and i went to the Moghul (orchard Road St Annes) last night. we were seated at a table right at the back away from other tables. This of course should have started alarm bells ringing i suppose. The service was incredibly poor and slow. We sat in front of our dirty plates for 15 munutes whilst the staff studiously ignored us. I have to add that the owner was in there at the time . There were hardly any other diners and there was no real reason for the delay. After waiting for another 10 minutes for the bill, my husband had to go to the bar and ask if he could settle it. the food wasn't too bad, nothing particularly wrong with it, but we will not of course be returning. We eat out every week and like to try new places, it's a long time since we've had such a poor experience.
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWe go to the restaurant twice a month ,but the standards are going down, and this slide should be halted. The food last Friday, when 6 of us dined, was frankly not up to the standard we come to expect. Six starters, six main courses and not one compliment says it all.
