Reviews in Fylde Coast and Blackpool

This is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever ate in (beats those in Liverpool that I have used) - the fillet steak Chinese style was exquisite along with the prawn crackers and prawn sesame toast - all washed down with a couple of pints of good Chinese lager. Me and my young daughter were made so welcome - can't praise the Mandarin highly enough.

The food here is excellent and the standard is consistent. True, they do get very busy at weekends and you sometimes have to wait a while for your meal so its worth ordering starters to put you on. However the wine is very reasonably priced, and its a lovely place to sit and chat over a bottle while you wait for your food - believe me it's well worth the wait.

Look out for the ugly soup; it's fresh mushroom and you can taste the mushrooms fresh from the fields, delicious! The haddock with lime butter and chilli is inspirational, and must be tried to be believed. Didn't have a pud, but if the starters and main courses were anything to go by, the puds will not let the chef down. Enjoy!!!

The Litten Tree did exactly what it said on the tin...it was typically great value traditional food, with a few more experimental and modern dishes for those in our party who wanted something a more special. They were big plate fills, and together with the great table service we enjoyed it made for a great for a value lunch. Plus their great deals on drinks in the afternoon, which was great!!! A definite must if you're in Blackpool!! Ive also heard they have a great night time, so we'll definitely be trying out a Friday or Saturday night on our next visit to Blackpool!!

Had a lovely meal at the villa on Friday night but the only complaint was that the portions are very small for the price you pay, could do with more veg on the table but apart from that excellent food and service

Wow. Was not the most excited person in our large group going to this restaurant earlier this summer as, being the only vegan in the village, I don't find Chinese establishments cater particularly well to my needs, not least when I am in a large rowdy group when things get loud and messy, but I HAD to write a review to say how utterly impressed I was with the care and commitment shown to me by George (I think he was the owner, and sorry if I spelt it wrong), who ensured that I was catered to and did not miss out on a thing. No more plain cabbage for me. The food was excellent, the staff all made a supreme effort, so for all other vegans and vegetarians, I can't recommend this place enough. He knew his business, (lacking so much in the restaurant trade, I am sorry to report), he knew what a vegan could and could not eat, and he was always double-checking with me, just in case I wasn't happy. Service was amazing, I left a very happy eater. And besides that, the food really was excellent, good veggie options.

Food is always of excellent quality and the staff are always glad to try and meet your requirements...also if there is nothing here that you like the owner will try his best to accommodate your needs... oh and by the way ALL FOOD IS PREPARED FRESH ... I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS VENUE TO EVERYONE AND ALL ... PLEASE COME AND TRY.... IF MY MUM LIKES IT YOU WILL!!!!!!!!

We were delighted to find this restaurant. We wanted somewhere to relax and chill with good food. We found that and more. The staff not only made us welcome but had a brilliant sense of humour that made us feel so relaxed. The only other place in town is Wetherspoons which is too "Hustle Bustle" for us. Thanks for making us so welcome. We?l be back x

The Three Fishes has all the ingredients necessary for a great restaurant - top chefs, well equipped kitchens, tempting menus, frantically sourced ingredients - and unifying them into a gastronomic experience. Fine wine and a nice place to dine. My overall two thumps up for this great place.

I have dined here on numerous occasions over the years and each time has been a pleasure. Excellent food even has a variety of sweets. Need to make reservation for Friday and Saturday. Also do takeaways. The staff are friendly and the service is great.

Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Wyre. Been a number of times and always really enjoyed the meal. The staff were most attentive and a very good selection of dishes on the menu. With excellent service and atmosphere included in the very reasonable price.

Can't fault the food or the staff at this wonderful restaurant. As a family of 4 with a toddler and a teen, we have eaten both in the restaurant and the bar, from all of the menus and the Sunday Lunches, in particular, are great value. The staff are extremely accommodating. Definitely our first choice for a meal out.

The cherry and almond scones were outstanding, the best I have ever tasted, will return with friends.

I have been to Taste on a few occasions and the food has always been tasty and well presented (especially recommend the eggs benedict). Despite this there is a lack of atmosphere and the excellent food is let down by the indifferent service.

I have lived in the Blackpool area for over 20 years and there are many Italian restaurants, but we keep going back to Mimmo's. It simply is the best value, food and service in the area. No matter how busy they are, the staff are always helpful and polite, the food is excellent with a regular change of 'specials' and the chef is more than happy to come and talk if you wish. The menu is more a guide to what they do; if you want to have a variation of what they provide, they'll do that. AND they do a take-away service as well!

Like Mike Tyson, Tony Blair and Schumacher, The Mews started to believe it's own publicity and paid the price - or rather the customers did. We had been there a number of times and always been more than satisfied but of late it has been overcrowded, over-booked and over-blown. The seats, especially upstairs are crammed in to get as many clients as possible in, the service is slow to non-moving and the standard of the food has slipped as well. It would do well to return to its early days and standards; more is not necessarily better, especially in the restaurant industry.
