The food here is second to none and always consistently superb with the service being above par and friendly.Having visited many Thai restaurants throughout the UK Sawatdee is up there in the top 3.

Beautiful food, very tasty, only one complaint is, that there is NO dining area, reading the advert I was lead to believe that there was a dining area with it saying no smoking. so we had to eat our fish n chips outside but they were worth it.

If you've eaten at one of the many 'oriental buffet' style restaurants recently then this restaurant will be no surprise - a mainly Chinese menu with the addition of some Gurkha goodies that were pleasing but not outstanding. The Gurkha items consisted of curry-type lamb and chicken items, but I couldn't bring myself to try the eggs in 5-spice liquid. The restaurants ambience was unremarkable as we found ourselves in the no-smoking section, sat 2 metres from a table full of smokers in the smoking section. I really can't recommend the Gurkha music - it makes todays top of the pops sound great! The food is priced about right, the drinks are v.expensive as a large 'Gurkha' beer is £3.80. Go for the jug of water at £3.00........ I wouldn't travel far to return to this restaurant, but if you are staying locally, go for it!

Went back again to find that there was a beautiful sitting room, absolutely spotless. 10 out of 10. Would recommend this fish n chip to eat in to anyone please try YOU will not be disappointed. This is a non-smoking diner. Again 10 out of 10.

The Sunam has a friendly atmosphere and is exceptional throughout. The food is always of a very high standard. I have tried a few restaurants throughout Blackpool and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who fancies a Good Indian. The takeaway? are always just as tasty as the eat-in-service

Pleasant meal however the vegetables (?rinkle?sliced carrots and swedes) were disappointing. Different, more ?nteresting?vegetables would have been appreciated. Service just right - not too overpowering. Lighting (fluorescent) in the dining area could do with changing.

Quite...avoid pension days your likely to be bowled over by the blue rinse brigade ...........and the reason for that is it is superb value for money! The best value carvery in lancashire that i've been to .......great drink deals 1.5l jug of fruit juice for £1.95 and food quality is good despite the volume! Feed your family for not much more than a Mcdonalds!

The king of the fish and chip capital is here .....if you dont mind waiting for lots of grockles on their way to the lights its well worth the wait ....need to invite Rick Stein these guys can show Whelans a thing or two and you'll have change in your pocket.

Even at 6pm on a rainy Thurs evening we were not the first customers. Excellant food, atmosphere and service. Can thoroughly recomend for Fylde curry lovers. If theres a few of you try the set menu's, they are ecellant value and you get loads!! Ended up with a doggy bag.

Wonderful setting on the canal basin, with good food and a great selection of beers and wines. Theme nights also avaialbe, Victorian, Medieval + more

Food, atmosphere & service all very good. I have eaten in The Atrium on many occassions and would highly reccommend it - especially Friday "Live Music" nights

A GREAT PLACE TO EAT, DRINK AND SOCIALISE. THE CHEF DESERVES A PAY RISE. TOM THE OWNER IS QUITE A HUNK AS WELL!!!

3 of us ate here last night it was clean,friendly, and reasonably priced never eaten here before always gone elsewhere, but now I have tried I will be back regular as clockwork. we found it very cheap as it was only 17.90 for 3 fish and chips and 3 drinks, 3 lots of bread and butter and 1 Mushy peas. the fish was light the chips were cooked to perfection and the staff were very happy people.

I stumbled across this restaurant last year and am now a regular visitor.The food is good and is at a minimal price. i recently took seven people to dine there. Starter, main meal and two rounds of drinks for less the £100.All enjoyed it. Well worth a vist.

What a wonderful time we had. Went on a Wednesday for the special deal and I have never had so much food in life!! And so cheap too. We were also especially impressed with the free shot, vimto lolly and flower at the end of the meal. Great!! Will definitely visit again!!

We were catered for at late notice by the restaurant, making room for us upstairs. The food was absolutely superb with everyone expressing their delight. This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at and I eat a lot of Chinese food!! George was a great host, really nice guy and nothing was too much trouble.

Tried Taylors chippy for the first time yesterday. The fish was excellent with crisp batter without any sogginess which we have had on the fish elsewhere. The chips were chunky and complimented the excellent fish. The shop is very clean and the staff were very friendly and served the food in a large tray for ease to carry to the car. Will call and buy from Taylors when we visit Blackpool again. Fully recommended

There was a great choice of dishes to choose from, excellent for my young daughter to try them all. As soon as I got back to the table with another dish it had been cleaned away of dirty plates, I paid £8.95 for myself and £3.95 for my child, (August 2005) you eat as much as you like and go back for more as many times as you like. Which I think is a great idea, they do have an extra charge if you leave a big plateful of food, I think this is a good idea it stops people wasting so much. Will definitely go again.
