Wot a fantastic place. Loved our first visit. Its definitely on our favourite list.
Owd Nell’s Tavern – GarstangWe have a caravan nearby and love this little cafe. We cant tell which is best, the food or the service but both are superb, Avis the lady who owns and runs the shop is kindness itself, my husband enjoyed the big fresh cream eclair she gave him free of charge , because no one else would have a pudding with him, last time we were in. Try it its the best.
The Coffee Pot – GarstangBeen here lots of times, very nice food, venue and location !
Th’Owd Tithe Barn – Garstangthis is the best fish and chip shop ever. the staff is out of this world especially the new very young one. infinity out of 10. superb
Turners Traditional Fish and Chips – GarstangWhat a shocking waste of time and money and a total disappointment that was. It was 55 minutes from our order being taken until the food came. Then it came in dribs and drabs so that the first to be served had finished eating when the last of us got our food. I then had a further wait for my chips that was so long I had eaten the rarebit they were ordered to go with by the time they showed up so I no longer wanted them. The rarebit was actually grey in colour, cold and tasted of nothing I couldn't have a pint of juice because they didn't have enough big glasses Seriously spend your hard earned cash somewhere else!
Zumo Cafe – GarstangLovely romantic place to take the Mrs and the kids for somewhere to eat. Food great with a nice twist to a classic such as a burger.....going again soon
Guy’s Eating Establishment – GarstangStayed here recently. The rooms are comfy, the staff friendly and helpful, but the food ,above all, was magnificent. All prepared fresh to order on the premises it was certainly different from, and a cut above, the usual mass produced pub grub.
Royal Oak Hotel – GarstangWe went to New Holly last weekend after being recommended by a friend. The staff were fantastic and the food was even better. I tried the 'black rock grill' which is definitely an experience to be tried. The kids were catered for with a large play area to keep them happy.
Starters and sweet and sour chicken were fine when we visited the Ken Ma on June 20th, but I was really disappointed in the duck dish I chose - it was described as roast duck with a plum sauce but it was deep fried and very dry.
Ken Ma Chinese Restaurant – Garstangwhat a great place, stayed here last year over night. fantastic food and a breakfast to die for. we stayed one Thursday night joined in the quiz as well really friendly place in lovely surroundings, we very often go for a ride up there now just for the food .
Owd Nell’s Tavern – GarstangAbsolutely lovely venue, great food friendly staff and a great start to a lovely evening with family, friends or just out with the dog!
Th’Owd Tithe Barn – GarstangBeen a while since I last visited, but i can't think why! Food and service is still brilliant, and i heartily recommend to everyone!
The Broughton Inn – GarstangFriendly staff in a well run setup. Its great to watch your food being cooked. The food tastes great and the prices are very competitive I 'd recommend it to anyone
East n Spice – GarstangWent to Pipers tonight for the Retro Night for my daughters birthday and can honestly say that it is the best meal we have had for a long long time. In fact my daughter went to Gordon Ramsays in Claridges this weekend and said the meal at Pipers tonight was better! We will certainly be returning whenever we can. Wonderful atmosphere and waiter and price was certainly reasonable for the fabulous meal we had. Cant wait to visit again
Pipers – GarstangOUTSTANDING MINCE STEAK PIE ,THE BEST EVER BY A MILE AND THE STAFF WERE FABULOUS
Pantry Cafe – GarstangWe have had the pleasure to dine here on numerous occasions, without doubt this is the best restaurant for miles around. We have been lucky enough to sample the bistro style weekday lunch, as well as the evening a la carte and set menus . The fantastic value 3 course Sunday lunch menu is a family favorite with both my teenagers eager to join us, which doesn't happen often! The food is always fresh, and sourced locally as well as using fair trade suppliers. Menus are varied and mouthwatering, it takes me ages to choose from all the tempting dishes on offer, I always want to try something I haven't had before and I am never disappointed. We always leave wondering when we can fit in another visit soon. The team at Pipers are first class, a warm welcome as well as friendly efficient service just tops of a perfect eating experience. If you haven't tried it you don't know what you're missing.......
Pipers – GarstangStumbled upon this lovely farm by chance whilst visiting Brockbottom. The rhubarb ice-cream is a must try! The kids really enjoyed feeding the lambs and petting the other animals as did I! We will be back soon to try the Sunday Lunch.
Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens – GarstangHad a lovely lunch here today. Excellent value for exceptionally good home cooked food. The family that run the hotel were welcoming and friendly and the waitress is a real character. Will definitely be returning in the none-to-distant and hope to get to a curry night soon. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!
