Special menu is always a delight to choose from, and was excellent again with such variety. The millefeuille dessert was absolute heaven …. topping off an all-round magnificent feast for all six of us. Number one choice of restaurant in Tewkesbury for genuine atmosphere, service, food and value.

Yesterday 15 of us met up and enjoyed a variety of well prepared lunches from the menu having pre-ordered and paid 2 weeks ago. The venue is excellent for a sociable event, food and service could not be faulted and our lunches arrived precisely at the agreed time. We look forward to returning next year!

We chose the specials which was lamb with dauphanaise potatoes & veg and sea bass with hassleback potatoes and roasted beetroot, both were absolutely delicious. We would definately return for another meal when visiting the cotswolds again.

Chester House Hotel – CheltenhamOur food was not nice at all. I ordered the squid ink risotto and it was tasteless, lacking salt and pepper. Ordered the parmigiana as well and the aubergine was like water , so sorry, but I can make it batter at home. My husband ordered the sausiccia ravioli and it was soggy and the sauce tasted like a canned one. I am half Italian and really disappointed with the food served here . So sorry but our food was really bad. Plates were sent back half eaten but the server didn’t care to ask why. We just left.

It didn’t look particularly special from outside but inside it was beautifully decorated and cosy. The food was all amazing 3 cleared plates for both our mains and desserts. Very good value too. Would highly recommend

Wye Valley Catering – ColefordVery nice Sunday roast in an interesting historic pub. Generous portion sizes: a large plate full! The veg were nice and plentiful: sprouts, carrots, roast potatoes and parsnips and a ramekin of yummy cauliflower cheese. All accompanied by a jug of gravy each. Helpful staff. The only criticism is that we found the pub a little chilly in temperature – perhaps as it was a day when the weather started to get colder. Would definitely have Sunday lunch there again.
