This wonderful eatery is a firm family favourite for us.... they'll even come down the M4 to join us for birthdays, anniversaries or anything else we can use as an excuse! Henry is the consummate host, and his young (and attractive!) staff are keen, polite and attentive. His chefs.... AMAZING. Everything they prepare is tasty and healthy, even for those with gluten intolerances. And the new venue? - brilliant. However, book ahead - the word is getting out, and it's usually busy!

Very welcoming and homely restaurant. The food and house wine were very good. All the usual Greek favourite dishes. Being a visitor to Gloucester and not knowing anywhere good to eat, I couldn't fault it and would recommend.

Dinos Village Taverna – Gloucester

We recently visited the place they call Indian Lounge. At first things weren't so bad just a normal restaurant but after a while we found out that they use the same gravy for all their curries and just add chicken or lamb to the sauce. They have mislead us by saying they take such care preparing our food.

We visited the Golden Mountain on Saturday 18th February 2011, and we were bowled over with the buffet, the tastes of all the foods we ordered were fantastic, lovely and hot as well and with fantastic service all round, we had a great food fest.My only complaint were the price of drinks, you expect to pay a little more in restaurants , but to be charged £2.67 for a small glass of coke, not a pint but a small glass I find the price excessive and profiteering on a massive scale. We were charged £14.00 for four small cokes and a pint of lager.

Having stayed at The New Inn, last weekend 22.01.2011. I'm really pleased to recommend The New Inn situated in the Cotswolds, near Cirencester. I and two girlfriends were in need of a break from the bright lights of the city, we certainly got just that! The accommodation was divine, all the little extras were noted from two complimentary bottles of homemade vodka made by a local company called Godminster, to fresh soft white towels, pristine white cotton bedding. The service and food was spot on. We were really made to feel extremely special; the dining room was full of guests and couples who were dinning just for the evening. We ate from their seasonal Game Menu as The New Inn pride themselves in following 'seasons not fashion' at £15.95 for one course or £19.95 for two we certainly didn't feel we had stretched our budget! To finish we were served a complimentary shot of homemade Vodka, I had Rhubarb flavour along with a champagne truffle which fizzed in my mouth, reminiscent of the sweet I used to buy as a child that crackled on your tongue. Breakfast was just as delightful with the same efficient service. The atmosphere left you feeling comfortable and at ease, papers a plenty with a steady flow of fresh coffee. Not a fan of the full English I opted for Eggs Benedict, it certainly hit the spot. We stayed for one night bed and breakfast and we all left feeling as if we'd had a proper break and really didn't want to leave and return to the lights and fast pace of the city. They often have offers for last minute breaks, it’s worth keeping an eye, if only to jump off of the wheel for a day and night.

Pepper Crescent is my favourite place for daytime eating in Cheltenham! The food is great and well priced, decoration is very funky and the staff are really friendly. It's a bit of a hidden gem!

We often go here as a treat for afternoon tea. It's wonderful and the butlers ( i won't call them waiters, it doesn't seem suitable!) kept the pots of tea coming. The sandwiches were dainty, Tomato, cream cheese and cucumber, smoked salmon, although no choice in white or brown bread, dinky cakes and scones, lovely for an afternoon of catching up on the gossip with the ladies.

Thornbury Castle – Thornbury
