Exceptional dining and service! We highly recommend!

My wife and me come to the Lake District twice a year every year. We stop in Grasmere and have dined out in many places through out the Lake District. Every holiday we spend our last night at Lewis’s Bistro. The food is excellent, the staff very polite, and the price is vey fare. What more do you need. Good food perfect atmosphere and value for money. Then go to Lewis’s in Grasmere you will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed delicious rack of lamb served by helpful and friendly staff. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent as well. Another most enjoyable evening.

We had an exceptional dinner at Lewis' Bistro. The food was extremely high quality, exceedingly local, and good value. The meat eaters enjoyed the local lamb and pork and the vegetarian in our group was also very happy with his meal. The chees board for 3 was excellent and local too. Well done!

Excellent meal on Saturday 15th April the scallops were delicious and my husband who is gluten free ate every mouthful of his steak and loved the strawberry cheesecake service was great and is definitely our favourite restaurant in Grasmere

Lovely food, well cooked and tasty. I’m vegetarian so not a huge choice for me but enough and it was delicious. My husband had the fillet steak which he said was beautifully cooked. It was full and had a great atmosphere and the service was faultless.

The restaurant was really lovely and cosy The staff were all great and very accommodating the food was amazing too Didn’t wait too long They even went to the shop next door to buy some apple sauce especially for me

This was our 4th visit and once again it did not disappoint. Service was great as was the quality of food. I would also like to mention that one of our party has a food allergy which makes eating out an anxious experience. However, I have to say that we were put completely at ease with regards to this as a full explanation was given regarding what foods contained and where they were prepared. One of the best experiences we’ve had in a restaurant regarding allergies. Will definitely be back!

Superb food and service in lovely ambient surroundings. 2nd visit here and glad we found. Gem of a find!

Great service from our waiter. She was outstanding. Human, warm and generous. Food ok.., not as good as the pub food the night before. Maître’D aloof and imperious. Efficiency seemed more important than genuine service. Main course arrived just as we finished entree. Overall an evening that disappointed.
