Great food and service. Lovely restaurant in the heart of Grasmere. Would highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant with good atmosphere and food with attentive staff who are very visible and on hand . Starters of tempura veg and scallops very good . Husband had lamb which was excellent . I had sea bass which I felt was overcooked for my liking. For me it all very rushed and maybe something to do with two sittings each evening. We had only just started to enjoy our drinks when the starters arrived . These plates were cleared as soon as finished and mains served — me personally I like a gap between courses to digest my food. Immediatley offered dessert when this was finished . Managed to get a breather at this point as indicated needed a rest. Apart from this it was a pleasant experience and if returning would indicate my preference for a more relaxed service

This is a brilliant place and definitely worth checking out. The food was a 10/10 and they had great veggie options.

Grasmere's hidden gem , wonderful food , good value , nice wines .. don't tell everyone or we won't be able to book next time .. but it's a rare treat ..you won't be disappointed...

Having spent time deciding where to eat we chose Goody Blake's It was quiet as there was a storm outside. The food was excellent, cooked properly and with care. We enjoyed it that much we booked for a second evening. I would definitely recommend.

Good food but poor service despite promises. Delicious scallops and belly pork but I don’t want my scallop starter while I’m still drinking my aperitif and I don’t want my main course popped down as the just finished starter plate is lifted. We had that experience first visit and were assured it wouldn’t happen again but it did. Shame, it could be a really nice restaurant if they can lose the feel of trying to rush things.

Had a couple of disappointing meals elsewhere in Grasmere so tried here on the last night. Had a wonderful meal. Belly pork and chicken were delicious. Sweets and starters lovely. Definitely come again.

Yet another satisfying two visits to this bistro this week. Food and service excellent as always.

Food was excellent, staff very friendly and really helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant

While my husband enjoyed his fillet steak I had a few issues with my meal. The lamb rump was good but the sauce was far to strong and very salty . To be fair the waiter did offer to have another meal prepared by which time my husband would have finished his meal. The seasonal veg were rather boring, undercooked carrots and over cooked cauliflower and broccoli. The veg and fondant potato did not taste freshly cooked. Staff and ambience good.

Having enjoyed dinner here one evening whilst staying in Grasmere, we booked for the following night. The food is excellent, as is the warm atmosphere and efficient service. Perfectly cooked rice too!! We would thoroughly recommend eating at Lewis' Bistro.

Excellent experience, food of a high quality, very well presented and generous sized portions. The salmon steak and pork belly bites were particularly worth commenting on, they were amazing. Unfortunately we didn’t have room to experience the desserts. A lovely ambiance and we look forward to visiting on our return to Grasmere. Tip. We managed to book using the online facility, worth doing as it was very popular.

Highly recommend a visit to Lewis’s Bistro food and service great will definitely re visit when in the area

Had a lovely meal . Tempura vegetables and the Scallops starters were exceptional. Actually it all was . Excellent.

Had an amazing meal, so good we rebooked another night while we were there. The food was amazing seasoned and cooked to perfection, the feel of the restaurant was very cozy and comfortable has a very relaxing vibe with lovely staff. A must do if visiting grasmere, highly recommended

We had a very good meal at Lewis's Bistro. We had booked in advance which was fortunate as the Bistro was fully booked. Food was great, the service was friendly too. Would definitely re-visit if we are in the area.
