Our food was well presented and very tasty. We dined early ( our preference ) and didn't feel rushed. It was busy as we were leaving , but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere. Both ladies at front of house friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses ,bottle of wine and coffee for 2 people at a reasonable price for the location and service.

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe visited here last night and the whole experience was absolutely amazing, we were staying in langdale and booked here having liking the look of the menu, and the food did not disappoint! Can not fault it, the service was ten out of ten all the staff were super friendly and the service was quick, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting quality food and a nice quiet friendly atmosphere.

Only criticism is that is was so cold inside, especially if you are sat in line with door to toilets, that both myself and the two ladies either side of me had to wear our coats whilst eating.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe prebooked and had the table from 6.15 till 8pm which was plenty enough time. The food was absolutely amazing. We had garlic mushrooms & cheesy garlic bread for starters. For mains the fillet steak and rack of lamb, all of which were cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were fab and the staff were very friendly and attentative in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended and we will 100% be back again!

We found the service to be excellent ,friendly helpful and even spent a moment or two at the table having a general conversation. Took quite a while for the desert menu to be brought to us then we were rushed off the table; (bill being given to us before we had finished desert) as there was another later booking waiting we were told. Not our fault that the staff took a while to offer the desert menu. No time for coffees afterwards.

Amanda is always welcoming and runs a tight ship. For as long we keep coming back to Grasmere we will always come back to Lewis's.
