Lovely meal on our last night in Grasmere. Food superb, so tasty and portions were spot on. Service was very quick, a little too quick in places but this is just the staff trying to be efficient rather than hurrying you along. When we asked for time to finish our wine before ordering dessert, the server was more than happy to oblige. All staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely come back to Lewis’s.

On arrival had our names crossed off as they thought we’d already had arrived. Requested a window table but ended up in the rear of restaurant. No Seabass on the menu ran out. All of the prices we’re different between the online menu, printed menu’s located outside and the actual menus at the tables, with a much increased price per meal. On the plus side food ordered was very good just let down by attention to detail when it comes to service and the updated information

Food was amazing! Lovely friendly atmosphere - one of the best places to eat in Grasmere! All staff were really accommodating and attentive. We will definitely be coming back!

Good evening at Lewis Bistro at Grasmere. Good menu and varied Food was well presented Staff were helpful Nice change from hotel Maybe service too quick although prefer this to the opposite, the courses came out in quick succession! Would definitely recommend

I was a little surprised that it appears impossible to book over the telephone as a recorded message requests you to book on-line. This was easy enough but means you cannot discuss anything you might wish to prior to booking. We found the welcome and service very friendly and efficient. Our meals were well cooked with good ingredients and generous portions. We thought they were a little expensive but in line with other eateries in Grasmere. Our only disappointment is that the restaurant is an unbroken rectangular shape with no private or intimate dining spaces and in fact the tables are tightly packed in together and we felt uncomfortable close to other diners.

We had a lovely meal at Lewis’s Bistro. The French Onion soup was delicious and one of the best I’ve tasted . We had the Cumbrian pork , which was excellent but spoiled with the amount of mashed potato. It was far too much . We also noticed that quite a few diners left some of their meal. I’m sure this was only due to the portions being far too big. The staff here are excellent . Really friendly, courteous and professional. Would definitely return when we are next in the Lake District.

We had a fantastic meal. The sea bass with scallops was amazing followed by the 5 cheese, cheese board to share. The service was fantastic and couldn't faulted.

Excellent bistro. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday 24/25 May 2022. All the staff are lovely and friendly. The food is amazing. I had the Halibut on one night and then the fillet steak the following night. Just gorgeous. Couldn’t fault it. Well done Lewis.

Once again I was pleasantly surprised by how good this bistro is.y wife and I enjoyed a super meal, with belly pork as our mains. Succulent, melt in the mouth pork, with smooth and tasty mash. Portion size was large so we settled for a affagato. Again good portions. We'll be back.

Excellent food and glass of red wine. Gorgeous restaurant and atmosphere. Also accommodated our dog and baby. We visit here each time in Grasmere.
