The Chequers Inn – LymingtonStaff are very prompt with service and friendly. Good music. Cocktails are always great but unfortunately only had 2 gin based cocktails when I visited. Arrived at 10pm on a Friday night and it wasn’t overly busy. Left at midnight and doorman practically slammed and locked the door right behind us which wasn’t great, but wouldn’t put me off visiting again as it’s one of the few classy venues for Andover! Looking forward to the managers opening the new bar up on the market square!
The SP Bar – AndoverHad a great evening at the Platform on Sunday .The food was good ,the staff really friendly and helpful . We went for the music and got so much more . Can see why the Platform is still around after so many years . Long may it continue .
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonThe Sunday roast was nice. The atmosphere and service as well. Only thing that I didn't like was the portion of meat. Little bit more would have been perfect
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonA lovely Sunday lunch. Staff very friendly and attentive, portions excellent and all food served was piping hot and fresh.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldI recently ate here prior to a Theatre trip to the Mayflower. Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful and food was absolutely delicious 10/10!
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonExcellent food & very friendly service. Easy to book online, with online confirmation. Have been a couple of times now & would recommend this local pub for the atmosphere & great food.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonGreat Food, and great service!
The Half Moon – PetersfieldAbsolutely fantastic food, great service and atmosphere too. Would recommend.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonHad another amazing meal on Sunday. I can definitely recommend any of the roast dinners & the desserts
The Half Moon – PetersfieldBooked for 3 as partners birthday and I had won a voucher for 2 Sunday 2 courses. It was very busy in the restaurant and bar area although it was 2.30pm. We had to wait for some time to get our drinks after ordering. The vegan dessert we ordered wasn't available but we were offered an alternative which was ok. The food was very nice we had the vegan option roast dinner and vegan cheesecake. The fruit juices were a lot more expensive than the half pint of cider we had.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldService as regards waiters was good but food slow coming out and was cold tasted good shame it was cold and expensive for what I got.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonAll great , lovely food quick service , and everyone very pleasant .
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonWe were excited to come to this venue pre theatre. We arrived early and was greeted well and sat quickly. The restaurant was at steady with many table free when we arrived. We ordered starters and mains at around 6pm. Thinking we would be completed by 8/710 so we had plenty of time to get to the theatre. The starters arrived and was ok (although) very greasy. Our starters came within ten minutes of ordering and then quickly taken after we finished we then continued to wait for nearly an hour minimum of 45 mins before our food still hadn’t arrived. We asked and were told it was just being cooked we then waited another ten minutes to then be told our food had been given to another table. We only just made our theatre show We will not return
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonLike many others, the venue was chosen after viewing location and price list online. Both seemed very reasonable. On arrival pleasantly surprised, with friendly staff and lovely decor. We had given ourselves two hours to eat, prior to attending a performance. Sadly, this is where things started to unravel for us, a group of 3. My online booking, made 2 days previously, had been mistakenly cancelled by the restaurant, this was quickly solved by our waiter. However, this then led to us not being given menus, left without drinks and despite our attempts to attract the waiter, (the restaurant understandably became busier). Two larger parties of guests arrived after us, had their orders taken prior to us being asked for ours. This was disappointing as this is basic etiquette in restaurants that the waiters monitor who arrives when. Especially when we are all there with time constraints due to pre theatre meals. The food when arrived, was delicious, well presented and appreciated, if a little pricier than stated on the online menus. The service, whilst lovely, genuine and friendly was not very efficient and perhaps more staff at peek times maybe the answer as both waiters were on the go constantly. It’s unfortunate, as this place has the potential to be something special, I will give it another chance, but it seems that from reading other reviews our experience isn’t unusual, which is disappointing.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonWe visited pre theatre and were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted immediately as we walked through the doors and throughout the meal, staff were warm, friendly and genuine. The food was simple and tasty, my burger was homemade and well cooked and seasoned. We will return!
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonHave driven past this pub many times, saw that they were doing live music and booked a table for dinner. Service was lovely, chap was very helpful and friendly, food was exceptional, great taste and beautifully presented. Music was icing on the top, still able to chat over dinner and enjoy the songs being played. Lovely place and we will definitely be back as was a real mix of ages in there.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonA lovely early evening meal for 2. The rugby was on and so there was a great atmosphere. The pub was busy enough but not overly so. Our food was tasty and plentiful. The servers were very friendly and smiley. It is the third time we have been here and it certainly won't be our last.
