Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service.

Myself & my husband had a 3 course meal for his birthday and the food was outstanding. The place is lovely & clean and the staff are very polite. We would definitely recommend the rising moon.

Food was amazing, really good & started off excellent but at 2pm the place filled up & the service went downhill. We asked for dessert menus but then no one came back to take the order, we eventually ordered them & then 30 minutes later (after asking once where they were) we had to cancel as would have been rushing. They couldn’t apologise enough & we will go back they just need to do improve a little on the attentiveness of the staff. We will go back though

We went on Boxing Day, as we do every year. The meal was booked for 2o’clock and we arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated on time. We waited a good half hour before our order was taken- it was busy but not manic. A member of staff then came up to tell us that we had the table until 4pm - it was 3 pm by this time and we still hadn’t received our food, which started to arrive at 3.15. As it happened, no one in our party wanted dessert or coffee- just as well as we wouldn’t have had time to eat it! Food was lovely, drinks order got slightly mixed up. Background music was a bit loud and unnecessary as it just added to the cacophony of people trying to talk over it.

A lovely local pub with a friendly atmosphere. Great service, lovely helpful friendly staff. . Food is delicious with great portion sizes and value for money. I would definitely recommend.

Busy little pub with good food and excellent staff. We had a lovely lunch and the food was well presented and hot. Staff very attentive and service efficient. The only negative comment I have is that the background music is rather too loud for my liking and rather spoils what would otherwise be a relaxing atmosphere for dining.

Lovely food served piping hot - great and varied menu choice to cater for everyone. Excellent service by fabulous and friendly staff - great evening meal, we will definitely be back.

Our first visit here, for a sunday roast, pub was busy which is always a good sign, atmosphere was really welcoming and friendly, and though almost every table was full the staff were excellent and attentive, they took the orders and helped with the menus and drinks, and the food (starters and main) were served with no waiting, but didn't feel rushed at all, it was a lovely relaxing meal and was delicious, with a great choice at really excellent prices. Its' a gem and will will be back (in fact we are, just three days later as we enjoyed it so much we decided to re treat ourselves and try other items on the menu).

This little gem is equidistant between us and some good friends from Sheffield so we always come here for our catch ups. We met up yesterday and had another fabulous meal. The spicy parsnip soup was delicious, as was my salmon on a bed of rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. There is a lovely ambience in the Rising Moon and the team are great. Always good service and they are attentive but not intrusive. I would really recommend you try the Rising Moon, you'll definitely enjoy it!!

Lovely pub, clean & beautiful surroundings. Ellie our waitresses was lovely & couldn't do anymore for us. Food was great apart from the beef in beef stroganoff was a little over cooked. Would definitely return

Very good overall - interior looks great, staff very friendly, and food was fresh and tasted amazing. Only thing I’d say is; I had some duck spring rolls to start at a cost of £6.95 - whilst they tasted nice, it was only 4 tiny rolls, would like to see more of them for the price
